Help me please!
We arrive on August 8 with the 4/3 deal, staying at the Grand Floridian.
My plan is to upgrade tickets to APs when we get there and then return for Xmas.
We'll be there from 12/19-12/28 for our holiday trip. I just got really good airfare, so I'm pretty happy about that.
So here's the dilemma. AAA sent me a coupon for $200 off a package; I have to book by Friday of this week to take advantage of that coupon. There are no AAA discounts available during the holiday season (when we're going), which means I would have to pay rack rate but then get $200 refunded from AAA (that's how this deal works). I've used AAA before and like my agent there. If we do that, I would get one day tickets for all of us which we could use later because we'll have APs from the August trip.
On the other hand, when we're there in August, I'm thinking I can try to get a bounceback for the December trip to cover at least part of the trip. Because if I read the bounceback dates correctly based on what people have found in their rooms, they could include part of our trip, and that would save us more than the $200 AAA could save us.
I'm concerned that if I wait until August to book the bounceback, the 30% off deluxes will be gone, and then I'll have missed out on the $200 from AAA.
I'm also thinking of doing a split stay. Perhaps AAA the 12/24-12/28, and then hoping for a bounceback for 12/18-12/24? Gosh, so many decisions!
