Ooh!!! A client made me a French Silk Pie. I had never had any before. That is the ONLY name they could have given that pie!!
I'll have to think of something I can make with my new mixer.
Chocolate Meringue Pie (preferrably warm)
Grasshopper Pie ( a creamy, rich mint pie piled high in the crust with chocolate swirled through it! )
Fudge Pecan Pie
My son is taking French this year and I am going to make a Chocolate Roll filled with whipped cream. I forget what it is called. To take to my mom's I made an Oreo cheesecake (I am so proud of it, it turned out looking so good) and chocolate fondue.
I made a wonderful "Warm Chocolate Filled Cheesecake" out of the Southern Living Holiday's magazine for Thanksgiving. It was easy and a HUGE hit with my family. I'll probably make it again for Christmas since we'll have different company.
I ordered a quarter-size sheetcake from the bakery, to pick up Christmas Eve morning, decorated in a Christmas theme with "Happy Birthday, Jesus" written across the top!!
I'm also making, at my son's request, the individual miniature cheesecakes I always make for Christmas. I use the foil cupcake liners, put a vanilla wafer (top side up) in each one, spoon in a bit of cheesecake filling, bake, cool, then top with cherry pie filling and at the last minute add whipped topping. Everybody loves them and always ask me to make them every Christmas.
My darling husband is in the process of making 14 6" raspberry swirl cheesecakes for my employees at work. So I guess we WONT be having cheesecake!!!
My mother is making her wonderful Peach Cobbler!! YUM!
