Christmas Decorations

When do the decorations get removed ... thinking of going in mid January and would love to see the decorations!

They'll be down by mid-January. They usually come down pretty quickly after New Year's -- I'd say the parks will be "de-holidayed" by about the 5th or 6th.

I'm afraid most(if not all) of the decorations get removed before mid-January. We were in Epcot on January 2, and the big Christmas tree was still up. Then, January 3, not only was it gone, but the area was all replanted-no sign of it ever having been there. Boy, they're fast! And when we went through the BWV lobby January 5, all the decorations were up. January 6-decorations down, area swept clean.

The deluxe resorts may still have their decorations up. We've stayed at BCV"s for the past 2 years and the Christmas decorations were up there until Jan. 15 or a little later. Same for BWV's and WL I know for sure.

The decorations in the parks are all down by the start of marathon weekend (usually the first weekend after Jan 1). The resort decorations come down around that time as well. Most all are down by Jan 10.

I asked on this board a few months ago when they would be taken down and someone posted that they heard the decorations will be up til January 8th (I can't recall how they knew this).

I am really hoping so...our trip is January 5th thru 15th and I would really like to see them while we are there.

If anyone has heard for definate...maybe they will post.
