When does Disney start decorating for Christmas? We are looking to book a 2017 cruise, either an October cruise which I know will include Halloween decor or possibly November 4th, but was curious if Christmas décor would be up yet? Just weighing our options, we aren't really picking the cruise to go for the festivities of it but just curious what we would be looking at.

Also, if you have cruised one or both of these months, what is the weather like? We prefer warmer water temps.

The best answer regarding the Christmas decorations is - maybe. This year's Christmas cruises begin (at the earliest) Nov 5 (Magic). And DCL is very good about getting the decorations up in record time, so they may or may not be started on the cruise prior, but definitely will be available on the actual Very MerryTime cruises.

The other start dates for this year are: Wonder - Nov 10; Dream - Nov 7; and Fantasy - Nov 19.

Don't know which cruise you're considering (Caribbean?), but we've been in the Caribbean in Sep and Oct and found the weather to be fine. A bit rainy in Florida, but while on the cruise great. Can't speak to how the weather relates to water temperature, however.

We did the Mexican Rivera in Dec and, except for the day we were in Puerto Vallarta, the weather was fairly cool and grey.

Looking at East Caribbean weather. We have sailed in January only and the weather was warm and sunny but very cool on board the ship, almost too chilly to swim in the ocean.
