Christmas Decorations

We will be at Disney starting Dec.28th thru Jan.4th. Will all of the Christmas decorations still be up? Does MGM still have the Osborne light festival at that time? And does anyone know if the Mickey's Christmas Party will be going on even after Dec. 25th. We have never been to Disney during the holidays. If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it.

SillyOldBear, the answer is yes to everything except the MVMCP (that ends a few days before Christmas).

SillyOldBear, WDW is beautifully decorated at Christmas time! Some decorations are obvious & others are more subtle. If you have a chance, it is nice to visit other resorts at WDW to see how they are decorated. Each resort has their own theme, so their decorations are similar to the theme. Have fun!

The Osborne lights were up this year until January 6th. They are spectacular - takes about an hour to walk through the display. I agree that you need to visit as many resorts as possible because the decorations are lovely. I've seen POR, AKL, WL, CR and GF. WL is my favorite, but the GF decorations are lovely too. And, each park has a huge tree - I think Epcot's tree is the best - it's theme is an around the world theme. And, don't forget the Candlelight Processional in Epcot. It lasts through Christmas week. If you haven't seen this, do make plans to. It is a spectacular show of Christmas music and the Christmas story. Have fun!

When do the Christmas decorations go up? I'm hoping they will be up when we go Dec. 6. And the MVMCP - Do they have the parade before Christmas Day? Can someone tell me how I can find out if there will be a MVMCP while I'm there?

The decorations are up by Thanksgiving. MVMCP is the 2 weeks of Christmas. Personally, I think MVMCP is disappointing. It is quite short. Spectomagic is the best MK parade.
