Christmas Decorations

When does WDW put out their Christmas decorations? We'll be there around Thanksgiving and are hoping for decorations. I know you WDW pros have the answer to that one!!!

We were there last November, 9-11, and all Chrsitmas decorations were up in the parks. The only thing was that the castle lights were not on, and I'm not sure about resorts, but at the parks everything was all-out Christmas!!

I can't wait to see them. This will be our first trip to Disney at Christmas time!! We are headed there with our very best friends and their children. Our best friends have decided that they are going to have us drive down to VA and have them get in the car and NOT tell them where they are headed as a HUGE Christmas surprise!! Just having us there will be a huge shock to the kids. I'm just hoping that my kids don't let the cat out of the bag!!!! Their entire family has never gone. This will be the best trip we've ever made!! Also, has anyone ever decorated their own rooms before?? I told my DH that we need to do this and he thought it was a great idea. Any suggestions???? TIA

By the week of thanksgiving ALL the Christmas decorations will be up! Make sure to drop by MGM and go down the street by Sci-fi diner, (streets of america, i think it is) and see the Osbourne lights, they are amazing!
And be sure to visit the Grand Floridian and see their huge christmas tree and lifesize Edible Gingerbread house where they sell fresh gingerbread cookies and cakes. Downtown disney has a huge tree with all toys and games decorating it. Incredible! The parade in MK also is Christmas themed and not to be missed! Be prepared it will get crowded the day b4 thanksgiving and stay that way til the Monday after! So enjoy the parks b4 Wed, and take time to see all the decorations after then. HTH`s

Thank you!!! We've not secured our lodging. We're on a budget...Thinking about Moderate Resorts...It'll me, hubby and 11yo twin boys...any reccs?
