Christmas Decorations ???

Anyone know when they go up ? Will they be up Thanksgiving morning or the day after Thanksgiving ?

they start putting them up in the beginning of November... We were there November 10th and they were up!

We will take a day and visit all the resorts to see the decorations.

The day we arrive we always take time to resort hop to see the holiday decor. We fly from CA so it is a nice way to break back into the WDW pace w/o going to a park. The Xmas decor is so amazing. We do a monorail loop and then head over to see the Epcot area resorts. Very nice. However, last year it appeared that they didn't spend quite as much time or money on the resort decor. It just seemed a little less special than the previous years.

Hi, we're staying offsite mid-November and was wondering if its possible to go inside the hotels and see the Holiday decorations? Is there a way to leave the car somewhere and take Disney transportation to see them all or should we just hotel-hop by driving?

They start putting the decorations up in the begining of November, and they try to get all of them done by the day after Thanksgiving.

And MagiKitty, of course you can visit the resorts to see the decorations! We don't go around the holidays, but one of our favorite things to do on our summer trips is visit all of the different Disney resorts. They're all so unique and beautiful. You can visit the three monorail resorts easily by parking at one and then taking the resort monorail loop around to the others, but it's easiest visiting the other resorts by car. I don't think there is direct Disney transportation from resort to resort, so after each visit to a resort you'd have to take a bus back to a park or the TTC and then take another bus to a different resort. It's definitely a lot easier to drive, and parking is free! Have fun!

We went in November a few years back and the decorations were up, we are going again Nov 11, & I believe it will be decorated. Yes you can go thru all the hotels need to see Grand Floridian's Gingerbread house and the trees all in the lobbies just gorgeous can't wait.
