I read somewhere that the Christmas decorations would be up until Jan. 2nd. Does anyone know if that means that the will come down on the night of the 1st or will they come down on the night of the 2nd? I will be arriving on Jan. 2nd in the afternoon and plan to make a mad dash to see as much stuff as I can. Mostly I want to see the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

Any thoughts on the matter??

TIA

probably start coming down the night of the first into the second. But there will still me many up as it will take several nights to get them all down.

However, you still might want to make that mad dash if there's something you're particularly interested to see. When decorations come down, poof! No warning, no sign they were ever there. One year, I went to Epcot and saw the tree January 2. Two days later-no tree, no sign it was ever there. Last year we saw it January 4th in the afternoon. But the following morning, not only was that huge tree gone, but the area was all replanted with flowers, like nothing else had ever been there.

Thanks for your suggestions! We are staying at the Contemporary so, we are going to drop our bags in the room and jump on the monorail to the Grand Floridian! But, if they are all gone by then, I will just be happy to be there!!!

Merry Christmas to All!

11 days to Go!!
