Christmas Decorating

Okay, how much of a goofball am I? Our cruise on November 13th is our children's (and mine and my DH's) Christmas present this year. I am planning on decorating our room with lights and a little stuffed (like a plush animal) Christmas tree. It won't even be Thanksgiving yet, but I want our kids to feel like it is Christmas for them. Is this too silly? I'm going to do it anyway, but I'm hoping for some encouraging words!!

Just do it! Everyday should be Christmas!
We are sailing the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2005. I am excited to hear if the ship will be decorated by then.

Wandering if anyone else has done this before, not at Christmas!!

We did this last year, although it was at Christmas. But you should be able to buy disposable items now as the stores already have some Christmas items for sale. I bought a small "Tree in a Can" that was about 2' high (the tube having about a 4" diameter -- easily packed), and used a roll of decorative tinsel to wrap around it. Also found some magnetic decorations that we put up, and some decorations that hung from the ceiling. None of it was expensive, and I just tossed it all when the cruise was over. We had a fine time Christmas morning!
