Christmas Decor Nov. 17-23

Is everything pretty much decorated....Parks, Resorts,etc.?

I've had 3 stats in that nice week before Thanksgiving week.

MK will be 99% because MVMCP starts at the beginning of the month, but the MK tree will not be installed until after the parade taping at the beginning of December.

DHS will be done with the Osborne lights running.

DAK should be ready

EPCOT will be in progress that week as F&W is converted to Christmas.

Resort decorations also go up this week. Sometimes you can come back from a park to a normal lobby, and wake up the next am to a giant tree . Its a fun time...

..so wait til later in the week for resort tours and EPCOT.

When all the decorations go up is variable...one year we were staying at the Yacht Club for T-giving and I got up super early to go for a run and got to see the CMs putting up the Yacht Club decorations, both outside and in the lobby...another year, also during an early-early morning run, I left SSR (the Fri after T-giving) w/all "normal" at around 5 and when I got back the lobby was decorated...

Other years, we've arrived for our T-giving week (usually the Mon or Tues prior to T-giving) to a fully-decorated resort...

Pretty sure the "target" is to have everything up by the "start" (sunrise?) of the Fri after T-giving, but how much earlier than that it occurs varies...generally, parks get decorated before resorts, tho, and parks w/special holiday events (like the Osbourne lights) get "dressed up" earlier, too...

I think you will just miss the resort decorations. The last few years we've stayed at BWV, BCV, VWL over Thanksgiving week and the week after. They typically start decorating during Thanksgiving week and the final touches are done either Thanksgiving night or early Black Friday.

Last year Thanksgiving was early, on the 22. (2011 was the 24th) I wonder how much that plays into the decorations (vs the 28th this year)

I think all of my experiences were later 26+ Thanksgivings.

DH's birthday is November 17th and when we went for his birthday the WL tree was up! That was the main one we hoped for. The Gingerbread house at the GF was not up yet, however.

It must vary greatly from year to year. We were there Nov. 8th to 13th in 2010. We visited the GF on the 8th and the GB house was going up. We came back at the end of the week and it was finished. The other resorts were decorated that week as well.
