Hiya,
Im thinking of staying there next Christmas, and celebrating Xmas day there. Has anybody done this and what happens, do you get Christmas lunch, is the park open or closed?

The parks are open as normal - you can get Several types of Christmas lunch and dinner in various restaurants but you'll pay a premium, and a very high one in some restaurants.

Its a lovely day. We will be there for the third time and its mostly a quit day in the park.
On Chrismastday the park is open and the restaurants also. Business as useall

Only at night! :rotfl2:

We spent Christmas Day there in 2005 ~ it was really magical. We couldn't afford the traditional Christmas lunch as it was very expensive so we ate at the Lucky Nugget instead. It was their usual character buffet at their usual price but they made a special effort for Christmas Day with crackers and turkey!!! :wizard:

Do you need to book for Christmas dinner then?

We were there last year - you could have lunch in your hotel but it was very expensive so we actually took Elaine's advice and ate at the Lucky Nugget - had a late character lunch instead - except we didn't see any crackers or turkey. They did have a band playing Christmas carols at the front though. The restaurant was full and they were turning people away who hadnt booked, so I would definitely recommend you book in advance. The park was busy but not so much as you couldn't move - not like Boxing Day when everything was mobbed.

There's a very nice feeling around the park that day, but also a lot of people. A lot of locals go there on x-mas day...
