Christmas Cruising 2005

Which resort?

I love the 4th of July at WDW. Sigh....

grim :hmghost:

OMG Will someone please edit that photo and put a girdle on me, and a SMILE! I spent so much money on the miracle body shaper, and left it home!!:rotfl2:

Grim, it's the Poly. I have to say I'd never spend the extra for concierge if it wasn't practically a give-a-way. (I'm saving $200 a night!!!) But now I'm looking forward to it, because it'll give us motivation to relax and not spend all our time in the parks as we usually do. Come join us, it'll be awesome! Dede, can you see yourself relaxing in the Poly lounge with your feet up? :thumbsup2
Value season starts on July 5th, so it'll cost even less if you go the 4th and the week after, not the week before like we have to.
These were the prices they gave me:
Garden view for 6 nights $1,436
Lagoon view $2,045
Magic Kingdom view $2,279
and Concierge $2,312
Keep in mind, this is for Regular season, with $25/night added for the extra adult.
Just for the heck of it, I'm going to call and ask about AKL and WL, which cost less than the Poly.
It's so fun to do all this planning and finagling. I finally bought a Passporter Guidebook, since I still don't have my computer and I need some Disney reading to fill the void!

Ok, going honk-shu now!

We look mahvelous dahlings :)

Brittany says hi and just told me how great the cruise was and how she wishes she could do it again and she loves the picture thank you...her only beef, if we did do another cruise she'd be too old to use the stack :confused3

My turn for honk-shu all

her only beef, if we did do another cruise she'd be too old to use the stack
Poor thing, she'll have to hang out with Chad and the older gang!

Britt's Cool with hanging out with him, but that means he (and you) HAVE to cruise with us :)

Yay! Lynn! Pictures :insert appluase smiley here:

I finally figured out how to log Chad off and get my own name on!

But I'm still on his computer, so I have to hurry. My laptop is going to cost me $345 to fix, since all the damage was my own fault and not covered by the warranty.

Anyway, Grim, I hope I didn't get you too intererested in the Poly, because guess what, I've just made the switch to AKL concierge! (Nan, I'm gonna get you for this!) Chad said the Poly was too 70's, and Jesse likes AKL better, too. I've been wanting to try the Poly for a while, but on the other hand I'm feeling really excited about going back to AKL.

Tig, I'd LOVE to cruise again soon, and my kids would, too. They'd skip WDW in a second to get back on the Magic. But it's really too expensive to do again this year, especially since this WDW trip is going to cost less than half of what a cruise would cost. Chad's graduating from college next year(2007), so I'm trying to plan a Dec. 2007 NYE cruise to celebrate. And I'd have that much more time to save some $$$.

I'm sorry if I've been all obsessed about planning another vacation, hardly saying anything else, but when I get my own computer back, I'll have time to relax and read through all the posts instead of skimming and posting like a criminal! Chad says I can use his, but then he asks me 100 times are you finished yet?

Lynn, thanks for the pictures. I think it was actually better that you hadn't posted them sooner, because now we all have fresh new pictures to reminesce (sp) over.

Nan, how's mom??

Hi Lynn: Ya got me last night at 11pm, so I glanced at the pictures..very good I might add, I may have to borrow a few...

Hey I just realized we haven't heard from Karen in a while.....Karen are you out there???? Helloooooooo....and Sharon are you out there hellooooooo......

Aisling, thanks for asking about mom. I'm trying to give her some space, that means not calling 3 times a day. I figure she can call me too if she's loney. We got the family room/play room all set up for her with a bed and closet, so I hope she will be comfortable. I think it will be weird for her to stay here. It was her house after all for ummmm....30 + years. I think I'd feel weird. And another thing is that my dad is everywhere here. It's been so hard not to think of him all the time. I'm still a wreck everyday, now as I type can ya tell?

Okay can't stay in the funk.

Since we didn't do anything (read Disneyland) this week, I'm making sure we get back to WDW sometime this summer, we've got annual passes so why not use them right? Can't comit when as I'm going to have to hunt for cheap airfare. Grim/Dede what cheapo rates have you guys found? I can easily find a cheap rate to AZ, then Orlando is the hard part. Seems like summer is all ready upopn us with all this planning. I figure we'll have to do a really low end hotel, and maybe try to horn in on our friends at AKL (Aisling, it wasn't my fault you fell in love, blame the mouse  )

Molly and I talked yesterday and agreed if we do another cruise we wouldn't spend a week before at WDW, it was way to tiring. We'd have to cruise first then stay at WDW :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just kidding.

:coffee: this is me if the paper is my computer...I have almost all scanned form the trip just the dolphins to go...soon emails will fly with the Xmas pic. Promises promises.

Oh, house news. The nut job lady was in bankrupcty the whole time and hired the real estate agent illeagally. We may even have an arguement with the seller agent (fraud) but more than that we now have a better place to view the actual value (not 1.4 as we offered) the bank with the loan thinks 925K, so perhaps we can get a steal. People just don't see pass the bad parts on a house....so maybe it will come if we walk the righ legal line. Maybe buy it a foreclosure, maybe buy it from the bank after foreclosure. Crap shoot still.

Going to motovate to the day now, chat later,

Nan

Hi kris, tori, tigg, jill, everyone else lurking... :scared: :crazy2:

Tiggie/Jill: I need some technical help. I'd like to get the picture of Jill with the Dolphin (dancing or kissing not sure which one you got) for my scrapping. Can you scan it and email to me???

Thanks girls,

Nan

We always fly Southwest. Usually $94 per person each way. Not sure about the kids. Just checked southwest.com and they have that rate for May.

If you'll email me the Christmas photo I'll make sure Mom gets you a copy of her dolphin ;)

NYE 2007 into 2008? Sounds like a very interesting idea :scratchin

My threadkiller friends still want me to do Jan 07 on the Wonder-it's not totally out of the question-everything depends on how Brittany intends to spend her summer this year.

We gave her her car yesterday, she's soooo happy :)

I also brought home her new surfboard...

and submitted my final payment for her senior class trip to Florida...

we've also discussed her going to a extreme sports camp for a week this summer :thumbsup2

:faint: (see what I mean :) )

...but you all already know my baby is sooo worth the cost of all of it ~ princess:

HEY EVERYONE! Sorry I haven't checked in, in lilke FOREVER!! I miss everyone dearly!! I have been checking up on the DCL Pic Thread because they just bring back memories! This thread also brings back memories too of course!! I have been very busy with school work, sports, and just trying to get some sleep! hehe I have been working hard and I am VERY sore right now!! We had a tornado here a few days ago and 2 touched down in towns right next door to us but thankfully not in OUR town! I hope everyone is doing GREAT! I know I can't wait to cruise again! My dad was talking about Dec. 2007. I told him about the talk of a European cruise too and his eyes lit up! heh He was talking a while ago to us that he really wants to go on a cruise to Greece or something like that. But all those are 10 days and stuff like that. He says he wouldn't like a cruise longer than 7 days, but I think he will change his mind. He thought he wouldn't like the 3 days at sea on the Eastern Cruise and turns out he LOVED it! He said that the ports on the Eastern were MUCH better than the ports on the Western. Therefore, We will not be cruising on the Western anymore unless they change the ports my father said. He just fell in love with the Eastern. I just think it was all the sun time he got! He's SO dark anyways! i think he still has a little bit of sun from the cruise he got so much! Well sorry but I am going to have to Dis-out for right now. Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!! I miss everyone and hope you are doing great!

heres a pic of me and my brother on pirate night!!

I FINALLY got a photobucket with the help of a friend! hehe

Great to see you back Tori!!

I just visited your photobucket...very nice :)

Your parents are great people-you and your brother are proof of that ;)

:rotfl2: That's the song Wilson has been singing when the phone rings today.

That kid cracks me up. :rotfl2: :bday: :cake: :car: party: :rockband:

We woke him up with breakfast in bed (pancakes and hot chocolate with whip cream and strawberries)

Then gave him some presents....a couple of new games for the love of his life (nintendo) but.... :rolleyes1: he had a litle problem, in that the "boy" was dropped in the hallway 2 days ago and the screen cracked and he had not told mom & dad.... :scared: Fortunately we got a swinging deal from 800-fix-our-stuff (nintendo 800#) and they will fix it for $30 and free shipping. The day has been saved.

Now, we await the fed ex delivery for the bowling shirt that I ordered yesterday for pictures (of course) :worship: thank you fed ex.... then pictures at the mall, then Build-a-Bear visit, waiting for pictures to be ready :rolleyes1 then maybe lunch then a movie, Curious George or Pink Panther, then some kind of dinner and ice cream with friends. (oh yeah, have to bake a cake too... maybe Paul can do it while we're at the mall...)

The big party is on Sunday, bowling party whoo hooo....

Must get going to party.....

LYMI (& I have a really cute birthday boy in my house....) Oh man, I have to tell you, Paul just offered to make me an omlette because I gave birth 6 years ago today.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: what a card......

Nan

a.k.a. Wilson's mom

 party: :bday: party:
:rockband:

Happy Birthday WIlson!!!!

and happy day of giving birth Nanette ;)

~twiggie~

(that sigs for you Miss Molly  )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

If only you had the Cruise staff there to sing you happy birthday! My dad had them sing to my mom and they brought out a nice sized birthday cake! Very Delicous!!

Here's the pic- AFTER our waiter Hermant put frosting up her nose and on her cheek!!
MomandDadwithBirthdayCake.jpg

Happy Birthday, Wilson! I wish we were there to celebrate with you! Chad and Jesse want mom or dad to take a birthday picture of you and post it here so that we can all see the Birthday Boy! party: :car:

Nan and Paul, :thumbsup2 to you both for making that adorable Wilson!

Tori, what a nice funny happy photo of your mom's birthday!

You guys are great and funny, but mostly great...

Haven't posted the pciture of the day yet...I'll try to get it on Monday.

Yesterday fed ex came with the bowling shirt, then we went to the mall for pcitures and Build-A-Bear (or build-a-dog in Wilson's case) Scruffy is the newest stuffed pet. Then we got Jamba juice, then we got Dad and went to the movies Curious George (it was cute) then pizza and cake at home with friends....end of night....

Today, we went to rehersal....found out Molly's wings were not going to have lights. The costume designer (who left this to the last minute, since the Riverbugs have this really small and I mean really small, 2 minute part in the 2 hours show) decided that the bugs lights just were not working and she wasn't going to bother with them. :crazy2: So you know me :scratchin I called Paul to ask him to find those lovely lights that I bought at IKEA....you know the ones I got for the cruise to decorate our veranda (but duh....I forgot to pack the batteries, there really wasn't room in our 10 or was it 11 suitcases) so thank heavens he came to the rescue and brought over the lights and convinced the costume designer that we really could have lights. So.........Paul is still at rehersal working on the lights of the Rvierbugs. Oh boy do I owe for this one. I just called him and he is planning on coming home at midnight or there abouts....Remind me Karen why we like this kind of thing again.

okay, now good news Wilson just agreed to having Krispy Kremes for his birthday donut cake.... Oh joy, I don't have to bake cupcakes tonight.

Well, it's getting rather loud here and I'm getting a :headache: so ....nite nite honk sku, who are these crazy people?
