Hello.....all.....

Back from a school meeting, I have a lot of those huh? We are looking at going independent from our district. I'm just not so sure of this idea. Lots of issues to running ones own school.

The next thing I did tonight was really fun. My co-leader and I took a big bag of baby gifts (each given by our brownie girls) to a newborn who was born on 10/31, the birthday of the founder of Girl Scouts with a card to her (new baby) inviting her to join Girl Scouts when she turns 5. The parents were very pleased. Fortunately, my co-leader speaks Spanish, mom only spoke Spanish, Dad a little English. The little girl was so cute. She was 6' 13oz at birth just the size of my kids.

Okay enough baby envy...Remind me how nice it is to have 2 kids and how much fun it is with 2 kids and that we really don't need to have a 3rd child...

RE: Swords
I actually bought 3 swords. The first one I bought from disneydirect.com. They put it in a box that was too small and it was completely bent. I bought another one from costumes.com or something like that. It was in the right sized box, but UPS bent the box in half(!), breaking the sword in several places. I then bought a sword in the Pirates gift shop. After all that, the one from disneydirect was the coolest one. I put some weights on it to bend it back into shape. It's kinda wobly, so I'll be in trouble if I get attacked.

Been lurking...been picking up a few "last minute" items for the cruise! Dress socks for the boys, boxers for Dan Hey--some good sales at Kohls and Target!
NO tuxes here...Dan is bringing his suit. The boys will be in tropical shirts ALL WEEK--I'll be thrilled to get Marcus in his khakis for formal/semiformal! (he has dress shorts for the other nights, though I am trying to talk him into the pants for dinner nightly, then change. His response is that he wears the dress shorts to church, so why not? Not a battle to fight. Dark pants for Jack, though...he's VERY messy!
Nan--third kid issue...I was there...as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I did NOT want to be! (it was a surprise) God had other plans! Of course, I could not imagine life w/o him! But Sat. at the game w/o him--required so little of our attention! I think as old as your kids are, you would go back in shock to start all over....that being said, he sure completes our family! (that really helped, didn't it? I am SO over babies!)
I GOT PALO RESSIES! though I am going to try to change them...first night were still available, but then Mon 7PM came up. Rotation is certainly an issue. Do NOT want to miss AP show. Plus this is a push for Twice Charmed for us...but we aren't usually show people anyway. But, got some. Was hesitant to book first night...rotation issues...cancellation issues...dress issues..
Well, the big report that was due Tues will not be done until this weekend. Principal is OT the next 2 days, so no point to finish until weekend. Luckily it has always been a loose deadline....(I am SO much better w/ firm ones)
Nan--let me know how that waxing goes. Considering for the cruise...I tried to do that at home (bikini)--NEVER again. Gee, hair color, acrylic nails, pedi, tanning, at-home teeth whitening (CREST), waxing...I'll be all bright & shiny!
The life of a pampered princess is hard!
Now I know why I am trying to get all my packing ducks in a row now....between the holidays and all my "spa" treatments, little time for anything else. Maybe I should take the whole WEEK before the cruise off!

I have a question for you...what are your children "into"? What I mean is that when I think Wilson I think gokarts, when I think Kayla I think horses, when I think Tig I think photography, etc. Trust me, I have a good reason! Nan, same question about Molly, because I have two images of her: rock n roll girl after seeing her with Smash Mouth (woo hoo did i ever tell ya I LOVE Smash Mouth!!) and girly girl after seeing her birthday photos with her doll beauty salon. Tig, same question about Stefanie. I have Brit, but any added info would be welcome.
