I've been lurking, and have finally found the time to post! Thurs. night took kids to "Boo at the Zoo" fun annual trick or treating at the zoo. Exhausted after...crashed. Friday night Dan & I had a date, yesterday took Hailey & Marcus to the NE game (gosh, we suck so bad). But really had fun. But was WIPED after. I was asleep by 9:30, I think. I tried to stay up w/ the time change, and tried to keep the kids up too, but they were crabby & I couldn't keep my eyes open! SO up at 6AM on a Sunday! But gee, I've gotten so much done already! Laundry has been neglected, should change the sheets, housecleaning has been neglected, fridge is bare. PLUS I have grades to figure, report cards to do and a report to do (that is actually due Tues...). We have Mon & Tues off...I can only hope to fit in some fun time!
Back to the drawing board for my 40th bday trip...found out yesterday that Dan's stepbrother is getting married the weekend we were to depart! SO need to cancel...hoping I can transfer to another Princess cruise or another through Expedia. Luckily only put $200 down. Didn't get insurance...was going to save a few $ and do it myself...hardly worth it now! But we need to be there...so looking at March again (prices much higher then...expecially now that we are less than 6 mos. out), or a cruise that leaves the Sun after the wedding. Might have to wait until next weekend to do some research.

PS Did discuss the cruise a bit yesterday. Funny, BIL thinks he has to pay for excursion TO Castaway Cay other BIL swears his whole family is each bringing a carry on ONLY WHY??!! Guess one could if one REALLY wanted to! Surrogate BIL (you'll understand later!) wondered about beach toys for their little ones...I am recommending Shirley's baskets.
Realize I need to email this clan about disboards, Passporter, and other pertinent info...I am expert, at least w/in that group! Wish I could find a way to get paid (well!) to do such work! What fun!

the kids went to six flags-and hubby just went to my bil's to watch some football.

Did you all read about the new boarding procedure?? After checking in through security, they give your party a boarding group number before you get up the escalators to the boarding area. And the area where people used to board is now for concierge...the rest of the people line up from the middle of the terminal. I'm going to see if I can find out more about this.

Apparantly, you don't wait in line anymore. You get numbers boarding passes and go on when they call your number.The numbers are handed out in the order that you arrive.

After SEVEN loads of laundry (haven't even done sheets yet!), Michaels, Scheels (socks for me), Famous Footwear (decent tennies for Marcus for the cruise...he was working me to wear them before--maybe a WEEK before!), Walgreen (disposable cameras for kids for cruise!), grocery store, Marcus to practice....PHEW!
LOVE Tenors thread...gotta go check out Beanos---Aisling, I think you saw Timons. WHAT fun people! I love the idea...plus it would serve as a journal, but I don't really need to lug laptop along...we shall see.
DCL changed the site! I tried to log on today to see if maybe some Palo ressies had opened up, and it wanted me to "register" (instead of just confirmation # & bday like I did before). BUT OF COURSE it wouldn't let me register...something about my user name was invalid! (hey, I just checked my email w/ this name....!) I dunno. I just put that I forgot my password, but they said it could be up to ONE WHOLE businsess day before they reply! NUTS!
SO....did get bills paid and some paperwork done, too...need to do some more...but this is more fun!
Tig--hope you are having fun! I'm still not sure what I am doing...a friend of ours owns "Husker Headquarters" a store full of University of NE stuff...so I need to talk to him about my little project here!

Kris, that's a lot of laundry! And I thought I was behind! I just have two dried loads piled in front of me on my bed waiting to be folded and put away.

Jesse has just confessed to me that the marking period ends tomorrow and he's missing 5 Spanish homeworks. I'm really mad at him, because I ask him every day if he finished his HW, and he says yes. Now he's in a panic and spilled. We had a serious talk about lying and responsibility, and now he's busy doing catch-up with his HWs. He'll be at it for a while, so that means shower and bed as soon as he's done, no video games tonight. He's such a good student, never a bad grade or a behavior problem, so I have to make him understand that he cannot simply decide that he's not going to do his HW, and especially that he cannot lie to me like that anymore. It's hard for me, because even though he's 13, he's still my baby, and it's really true that it hurts me more than it hurts him when I have to discipline him. But I keep telling myself that he got off freaking easy!

Ok, now back to cruise talk. I haven't been to the dcl site in a few days, so I didn't know about needing to register. I'm already registered, and I wonder if there's some new registration thing that they started. I'll check it out in a bit. The last time I checked, there were no Palo ressies left at all, but that can change, so Kris keep checking.

This is interesting, today Chad told me that I'm obsessed with the cruise and that I'm overloading him with information. Well, excuuuuuse me! He said it nicely, though. This was when I asked him which pirate he is, Jack Sparrow or Will Turner, information I needed for a couple of my door signs. He said Ma you don't need put up new door signs every 15 minutes! He was referring to the pile of signs I've made already. Disney is my hobby, what can I say!

Nan should be going to Mickey's Not so Scary soon. She and hubby are driving home afterwards 6 hour drive I believe. Nan also mentioned I may get a phone call while they wait for fireworks. Let's hope I'm up.

Gee, a whole day in rooms, and yet they still bicker....ARGHH!!!!
Aisling...don't worry about Jesse. He fessed up rather than avoid until you got the grade! You handled it perfectly, and at this point, he did, too. Marcus was a disorganized MESS last year, and he really seems to have matured this year. And I honestly don't think that it is the fact that I am one of his teachers this year! (although that probably doesn't hurt!)
Hey, can you bring me one of those extra signs??!! I have big plans to make one for each of Dan's siblings' families...but I don't think 54 days is enough time to get everything done that I want to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking of checking the costume shops for pirate leftovers after halloween too. Black Capris, White knee socks, white poofy blouse & black boots. With a pirate scarf, some burnt cork beards & whiskers, and really big gold hoop jewelry. We have eye patches, swords and a parrot (alas does not talk) for my crew as well. Sound good?

Yes, you told us you were rescheduling for March...was that 06 or 07?

Moran Clan made the door signs for everyone on our Discussion Group.

I thought my cable modem died today. I COULDN"T READ MY E-MAIL. Panic strikes. Checked the connections ran all the tests, etc. Called Comcast & they said no power was going to it. I scheduled a tech call & also went to Best Buy to try a new modem just in case.

Got back home. Was reading the directions & decided to watch tv. Well, the tv has no picture. Now that's strange. All the other tv's are working. The cable was connected.

Went to the spare bedroom. Last night one of the girls from the rink stayed over & sure enough when she made the bed she pulled the connector from the splitter. WHEW. Cancelled the techie, took back the modem & READ MY E-MAIL. YAY :cheer2:
