Aisling, here is a link to a sony cybershot camera. Its $179, 4.1 megapixels. We just bought two of these at school for my Tech Class. They do nice pictures for the price. I think you can get a 1 gig memory card pretty cheaply too.


Kris, I'm sure if I had kids the summer thing would be more important to me. Actually, I think that the stress of my teaching job has something to do with my inability to get pregnant. We'll see.

Oh my we are going to have such fun together on this cruise....our poor family, oops my poor husband...maybe Mel & John have the right idea, this might just be a chick laugh all week cruise. It's okay I'm sure he can catch up, maybe not as close as Grim, but Paul can be rather witty sometimes. I've got to get him engaged on this board. I just found my pirate night costume, and I'm not telling....wish me luck I have quite a bit of creating/sewing/gluing it together. Hmmmm, just tried to google the look and couldn't find it, I may have troubles with this. But....that won't stop me.

Had an ebay boo boo tonight, I waited and missed an auction that I wanted...bummer.

I have to send you a yup heard that one before to you Dede. My bf, Sandra (who is sitting out this year again) who is 10 weeks pg with her 2nd baby, totally had issues getting pg. She also has lots of friends/teachers that had a hard time. I do believe that the stress of that job (and I'm sure others) can cause pg issues. I send you on that topic and prayers too.

Principal has given each of us a half day off today to catch up on paperwork. SO here I am...I'll be brief!
Dede--something to be said for stress, that's for sure! We have 2 neighbors that used invitro, then immediately got pregnant after those births (one had TRIPLETS first! YIKES!) And we have friends who have adopted 3...so while I cannot relate, I can empathize and send prayers & thoughts!
The badger thing is like a song you cannot get out of your head....
To all the hubbys--Dan often is called "quiet" by people he just meets. HA! I think maybe you all get the same rap, but when you get comfortable you are a bunch of cards! Am SO looking forward to this cruise!

Well, really should take advantage of this time. I have a sub tomorrow AM for a math meeting, and quarter ends Friday--and a new report card with a BOOK of how we are to figure grades---SO PLENTY TO KEEP ME BUSY!

Lynn or Jim - Since you are our resident past Christmas Cruisers, would you please tell me please does the holiday menu totally take place of the regular dining rotation? For our cruise, if our dining rotation goes how I think it is going to go, we will be in AP for Christmas. Will we ever see the regular AP menu? Is this a clear as mud?

Nan and Kris - I have been advised by the tee shirt person that if we do go with child sizes we will have to shrink the artwork considerably. So when they print a 2X the art work will be really small. Is an adult small going to be just too big? I am checking to see if they have an adult XS. Please let me know your thoughts.

crabby kids...Hailey & Jack getting colds, tired. I even threatened no cruise if they didn't shape up! (luckily I am the parent who doesn't give in, so they might actually believe me)
Karen--S or XS should work fine. Given a choice, I'd say 1-XS & 2-S. DItto on the addy thing...payday is Monday, so always wise to ask around the first of the month here!--middle to end can be slim...
I have put in to do a Harris lab study before the cruise. Harris labs does some of the drug testing for FDA. I have done a study on a sleep aid that is already on the market--had to stay over 2 nights, they fed me dinner & breakfast --got to go to work in betwee--and they paid me $175. (there were like 15 blood draws over the 2 nights). Then I did another on the botulism vaccine, I think. Guess it has been used in the military since the Korean war, but terrorism is creating need for mainstream. It was a 2 year study (all outpatient--shots & blood draws) that paid me $2000! And the last year & a half I only had to go in for a quick blood draw every 3 or 6 months!
I did happen to get pregnant w/ Jack in the middle (they were not wild about that!) But OB did search & was not worried a bit. Anyhow, they have various studies--some in, some out, varying time frames & payouts. Thought I had it in for one that paid $2K again, but OF COURSE the last 1/3 of the draws were while we are on the cruise! So I have put in for a small one that pays $500--paying on Dec. 22!!! And only 1 day off necessary! Thought that would be nice for the cruise! All for the good of medical advancement! (and some extra cruise spending $!) We get our end of Dec. paycheck on the 23rd--it is a LOOOOONG time until the end of January, every year! (but Xmas sure is nice!) Trying hard to use credit card for emergencies only!
