Christmas Cruising 2005

Jill, I don't know what they're watching, but Chad and Jesse are laughing so much, I bet they're watching Comedy Central.

You know it :rotfl:

Nan, when you go to PTCafe you must remember your manners. Keep your elbows off the table, if you order veggies you better eat them and as another had posted you have GOT to have a smores dessert...the desserts are shareable ;)

Aisling...see Grey's anatomy tonight? omg...your heartthrob/friend's character is driving me crazy!!! That's all I'll say for now - no spoilers.

My laptop is stuck on FM again - it's def a DIS issue...

Totally plan on having my manners in check (or not) depending on how playful I'm feeling that day...

No spoilers, we're still on West Wing here on the other side of the country...

That is exactly why I won't spoil...I know a few of our west coast cruisers have yet to watch the show :)

If you misbehave in PTC I want a picture when mama makes YOU stand with your face to the wall!!!

Only five more days to your next trip!!! What are your plans for this one?

We're snagging the kids from school on Friday @ 11am, but I may try to talk Paul into just blowing off the day for them totally. We'll see how ready we are later in the week. The not so scarey party is on Sunday night 7-11pm, so we'll be coming home really late on Sunday night, I figure if we get home before 6am we'll be lucky. We have to be home by 8am Monday for the costume parade at school. Fortunately they have minimum days so they won't be too wiped out for trick or treating that night.

Okay, didn't I just sound like a parent that all you teachers HATE!!! I have to tell you that in our 4 years of school (+2 more of pre school) we've never taken the kids out for nonsense like this. I even make doctor appoointments outside of school hours. I'm in a different place this year with the kids, I've gone Disney crazy. I figure once in their school life time is ok. The bad part is the Molly is really wanting to have a perfect attendance (which includes no lates/tardy too) record at school this year. She did this in 1st grade and was very close last year (sick one day)

Back to the weekend plans... we don't have anything specific other than the party with Mickey. We have friends staying at the Grand CA, we may head over and swim with them Saturday afternoon. Since we've done the park so much this year the kids are not acting too crazy about doing anything, I'm sure once we are there they will go crazy. I hope Paul gets to see the fireworks from a good spot. He hasn't been since last Feb, so he has not seen the new show. Oh ya he hasn't done Buzz yet or space mountain. I guess we'll be tkaing Paul around to the all the new good stuff.

I wish we had pixie dust to get there in minutes instead of hours.

At least for Xmas it will be get on a plane and let some one else worry about the directions.

Hey Tigg:How far is the boat ride from our dinner plans???

Time for Crossing Jordan, nope not a Patrick Dempsey fan. He'd cute, but I'm stuck into watching criminals in life on tv...(Jill I leave the real ones to you)

Nite Nite,

Nan

Your 6:30 might be a bit tight, dinner at any sit-down is at least an hour and the cruises meet at 8.

Do you want to try for one after the cruise? The pace at WDW will be alot slower once the holiday is over.

The trouble with me and last night's shows is I like both shows. I flipped between channels the whole hour but managed to see enough of both to keep up ;)

I know you'll have a great time at DL no matter what you wind up doing. Enjoy my friend and as usual, say Hi to Mickey for me :)

Tigg:

Perhaps after is better. We are only 4 then. We could do a cruise on 1/1/06. Let me know what you find.

Okay, I'm nervous. How am I going to get everything done and ready and packed in less than 60 days???? :earseek:

I better get moving today...arggghhhh it's Monday and gloomy here.

Wish me luck,

N

OMG! Brittany knows the badger song!! Her and my nephew actually have their own chorus

Brittany Brittany Brittany Brittany

Emo Emo!

and Grim, she wants to be your friend! For Real!

anybody else notice Grim put that link in there? ;)

Nan, you got it! I'll check try for the 1st and see what's out there.

Headed back to work---late lunch :moped:

~Tigg~

What the heck is it about those badgers????

They are doing the cruise happy dance, right? :confused3

I can't think that we ALL are fans of Wisconsin....As a matter of fact is anyone a fan of Wisconsin here????

I do have them singing in the back ground (pun intended) now, they do have a catchy, if not annoying sound to them.

What about that snake????

Okay, you can tell I'm a litteral type person, Aisling back me up here.

you people are leaving me in the dark...are they just funny is that it? I'm missing the joke. I get it if they are just funny, but I keep thinking something more must be here....

N

It's an annoying, Very catchy song, Nan...that is all.

Brittany, my nephew and their friend Cliff will break out into the badger song at any given moment just to be wierd

Where is everybody?

I told Britt she could start packing her bag for the cruise and she looked at me like I had two heads

~TW~

We were in the garage....uhhhhgggg. Found some stuff I bought last summer for the trip. Cute! Some stuff I forgot about, a sweartshirt for me!!!

I told the kids they could pack for Dland today, that really excited them.

As for this evening I'm here unless my friend returns my call then I'm over at her place to cook up some pumpkin*ness* stuff for our Kinder class plan tomorrow.

N

I don't check in for 36 hours & I have several pages to check in on!
Dede--actually I feel the same as you. But the kid thing has ceratainly made summer a big deal. We did make ends meet on part time for a while, but I think our traveling budget had kaboshed any ideas of that!
Tig--Patrick Dempsey is SUCH a hottie  :lovestruc
Nan--I don't worry about parents like you taking kids out of school for vacation once in a great while--I know you will be sure that they do any make up work, etc. It's those that don't let you know then suddenly the kid is gone for a week or two. (this RARELY happens at my school!)
And I'm with you on the badger thing--I wasn't really getting it either, but I can DEFINITELY see a couple of kids thinking it is hilarious, especially repetatively!
Well, got first box of ebay clothes! 15 items cost me $19 total! NICE stuff! Gap, Nautica, Levis, etc. for Jack. 3 tropical shirts for the cruise! He will be so decked out! And a few pairs of pants to help cover blown knees...Looking forward to a few more boxes over the next week or 2!
Well, just pooped tonight. Think I'll head to bed..
Nite! :wave2:
Kris

Nan, if you noticed, I kept silent about the badgers, didn't get it at all. I knew if I waited, you'd ask! So now I understand. I kept waiting for the REAL meaning. Like you said, what am I missing here? Cute, funny, annoying song, dancing badgers...ok I really got it now.

Cold, rainy day here. I SO cannot wait for this cruise. I have to get a digital camera, so I've been shopping around. There are so many kinds. Does anyone have advice? Like, what's better, digital or optical zoom? If we don't want to be professional photograpers, what would we need for pixels amd memory cards/sticks for family and vacation shots? And it has to be less than $350. I'll really find it hard to afford a costlier camera.

Now I'm off to ebay for a while.
BBL :sunny:
