Christmas Cruising 2005

Hi Grim:

What did you guys do today? What's new? Why are you logging in as your wife????

What other absurd question can I come up with???? Oh,,, how's the weather?

I said 'Ni!', not 'Hi!'

Ni!

Went to Target. Oh the exciting life we live!

What's new?
Home inspection and appraisal are today. I bought a new accessory for my Jack Sparrow costume that I'm very excited about, and embarassed at how much money I spent on it. A customer wants me to re-write a program I have already written to his specifications, to the way I originally spec'd it. I need to buy some kitty litter.

Why are you logging in as your wife????
Well, I was wearing her underpants at the time, so I figured it was appropriate.

What other absurd question can I come up with????
What is the air-velocity of an un-laiden Swallow?

Oh,,, how's the weather?
Hot. Still in tripple digits. Disneyland is next week, and I can't wait to be able to wear a sweatshirt.

Makes me curious. If this is true, it elevates your celeb status in my book to higher than Wil Wheaton, but just below that of Catherine Bach.

Catherine Bach, eh? Well now. That is heady company.

Luckily, Someone once told me when it comes to fish stories, unless you have a certificate or a fish, it's just a story.

For the Spamalot episode, I actually have both.

Is that an African Swallow or a European Swallow?

Of course, African Swallows are non-migratory.

Insert Silly Walk here.

The knights on their imaginary horses; this is one of the things I remember most from Monty Python. But, what is it they are saying. Is that your Ni

Hello Fellow Christmas Cruisers/Scrappin' Lovers,
I just joined the DIS Circle Journal II group and thought it might be a great idea to start for folks going on the 12/24 cruise. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept of cirlce journaling, here's a brief overview of it:
1. Usually each person picks a theme but since we are already all going on the same cruise, there could be certain pages in each person's book dedicated to pre-selected page themes. For example, Embarkation/Port Canaveral, Sail-Away Party, Shopping Onboard and in Port, Disney Dining, Meeting the Characters, Shipboard Activities, Ports of Call, Holiday Decorations, Formal Night, Pirates Night, DIS-moments, etc.
2.I will create a list of 12 Christmas cruisers who are interested in joining the group.
3. Each person would create the cover, intro, and sign-in pages for their book as well as the first two-page layout "We're Goin' on a Disney Cruise" which would cover any pre-trip travel. When the circle journal mailing officially begins, each person would mail their book to the next name on the list. That person would have one month to complete the next layout and then mail the book onto the next person on the list. After 12 months, each book would eventually get back to the original owner, filled with the memories and creativity of people who had become our friends on the cruise.

We probably won't start the circle journal until sometime in late January to give us all time to get back on track after the cruise. As soon as your post-cruise depression sets in, you will have this to look forward to. There are only 11 slots available (in addition to me :earboy2: ), so if you are interested, don't delay in posting your interest, or better yet, PMing me.

Sharon :bounce:

Has anybody organized any times yet for mini-scrapping sessions on our cruise? I know from other threads that the crops that the DISers do are often much better than the occiasional scrapping activities offered by DCL.

I have never scrapped before, not sure I would have the time. I do have LOTS of theater stuff I know I could use some scrapping help on - like 30 years worth!
Karen, this does make me happy, even though it's too late for poor Bruno. What a switch, though, going from Gypsy to something as serious as the Lindbergh trial. You must all be a very talented group.
Aisling: It is a switch especially since it is being done in the acutal courtroom and not a theater. It is actually a different theater troupe. We get around. On a different subject, Dom has a fan based TOS episode I think you will find amuzing. If you are interested, PM me your address and we will send it off to you!
Why 2:45 AM?? Someone please fill me in! I don't want to miss out on this!
Because at 12:01 Pacific Time it will offially be 75 days out and I want to make whatever ressies I can!!

Dom and Kayla are into Monty Python. Sorry to say, I just don't get it.

Grim: It was late...I really thought it said Hi...I think me needs to get some glasses....remember isn't it great to be employeed and getting paid to work for someone else request (and there is certain satifaction that you had it right the first time in your head)

Sharon:

More info please..this sounds interesting, do you include pictures as you move along to each journal/book? I'm totally up for a scrap on board, not sure what and where I want to bring. I have tooooo much stuff, so it's hard to pick and choose what to travel with for me.

Since I was silly and stayed up until 3am (not sure what is going on with that) I'm just now getting out to work and I better move it move it move it, or I will have no work to do!

N

We are having dinner with Mom tonight ... filet mignon is on sale!!!! Anyway, the BF will be with us tonight. I will begin my conversion to the Disneyside!! HIS mom is thrilled she says she has no one to go with. Think I should tell her about the DISboards?
:disrocks:

really more the fact I could NOT sleep...I knew 3 hours of sleep would not give me the patience to deal w/ anyone!
Maybe I just needed a mental health day...a little early in the year to need one of those!
JIM & GRIM--you continue to CRACK ME UP! :rotfl2: :rotfl: I think you two might gather a larger crowd than ship comedian!
Sharon--I, too, am in the CJII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO! (have had NO time to do anything except join yahoo group!)
Nan & Dede--YOU SHOULD JOIN, TOO! (and any you other gals...I just knew these 2 were scrapbookers, too)
Aisling, I will get NO sleep next Sunday night, either, cuz I'm gonna get my best shot in for those Palo ressies! (luckily Mon. is plan day, so no children but my own to contend with) I'm going to shoot for Thurs. eve (alt. Weds.),
Xmas brunch (alt. Mon....and maybe even waitlist Mon & Thurs), and Thurs tea (alt. Mon).I certainly don't want to miss AP show first 3 days, nor Pirate night. (although Palo may mean double dipping if it is a late ressie). If the Passporter is correct, it looks like our dining rotation might be APL--which means formal night in Parrot Cay! :guilty: I realize 1/3 of the ship has to ...but it just doesn't fit! IF that were the case, I might choose Palo Sunday night instead...I'll keep it on my list since it is still a crapshoot.
Nan, Tig, Dede or anyone else who has made ressies--is it possible for you to check which ressies are still open this Sunday to help me plan?
Well, thought I'd actually do some work...
Kris  :wave2:

Kris,
I just tried to check. They won't let me browse available reservations because we already have them.

Sorry :guilty:

grim pirate:

Most of the Palo ressies go super fast. There is one consolation you may dine with other guests or you can put yourself on a waiting list in case someone cancels.

KKB,
Were you interested in also starting a Christmas Cruise CJ? I'd be happy to coordinate the details of it. I have been checking out the CJ layouts at twopeas and they are fasciinating.

Karen: What's the latest word on the working of the tshirts???? I was just snooping this thread.... I'm sure you've caught it already but just in case.... N
We are working on it as we speak. I told Dominick it was a priority this week!!!! Will have details soon.
