A little backstory: I have the T-Rex as my avatar because when I first joined the Dis, I was planning our first trip to Universal, and I practically lived on the Universal boards before I even came over to the Disney threads.
So, I chose the rex to tie in with the Jurassic Park attraction at Universal, because I was SO excited about the trip.

I Love your little Trex...he's so cool~

We are frequent visitors to Universal ::yes::

Wanna go to Universal Hollywood with us?

Wanna go to Universal Hollywood with us?

Thanks for asking, but really I don't want to spend too much money o this trip. I have a cruise to save for!;)

Ok, a slight change of plans. I know it would be tons of fun to stay at the Best Western with you guys, but my kids have a point, that since this is our first trip to DL, we want to stay onsite. So I booked the Disneyland Hotel for May 26th to May 30th. We get into LAX from JFK at 9:35 AM, get our rental car, and take a nice drive to Anaheim. On Wednesday the 30th, we have a 4 PM flight out of LAX back to NY. Jesse can't miss more than two days of school, so he have to leave on the 30th. He's going to be tired, but I have to make him go to school the following day.

Just double checking, but do my dates fit in with y'all? I mean, we don't have to match up exactly, but you peeps are the reason we'll be eating Ramen noodles for the next 4 months, so at least I want to spend some time with you!!!!!!!!!:lmao:

We only got 3-day park hoppers, so that we'll feel free to take a day to check out LA and the surrounding area, and just relax at our own pace with the rental car.

I can't believe we're all going to be together!

I probably shouldn't be divulging this, but I may need some advice, because Louise is giving Chad HELL for going. She can't go because of her teaching, so she wants him to stay home! She's a lovely, wonderful girl in every other way but this, that she can't stand to be separated from Chad. I feel bad for Chad, but I'm glad he's strong enough to stand his ground and come with us. It's just hurting him very much that she's being selfish. I hate for you all to think she's not a nice girl, she is. She just has issues with separation anxiety which can make her over-react. So wish us luck with this situation.

By the way, the two of them are leaving for a 9 day trip to WDW next month, ALONE,:rolleyes1.

Please get back to me about my dates. I just want to make sure I'm on the same page as you.

And as Tiggie said, we're going to Cali, babeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!:yay: :woohoo:

My dates are the 27th to the 31st...

Nan's are (I think) the 27th to the 30th...they are leaving early because of school too.

G, D & P will be there all week...I believe starting the 27th.

My first thought on Louise's issues is she'll feel better about him going without her *after* their alone trip...

I hope.

She does seem like a fabulous girl, she is no different than my son's gf with the separation thing...hence the reason for her living with us now and his moving out to PA with her after this semester is over. They can't stand to be without each other.

My advise for her would be to let him be for this, let you have one last trip with just you and your boys.

I am happy for you to be staying on site, since ours is a 4 part trip (SF, SJ, DL & SD) it makes sense for us to go with BW. I believe we will be really close to each other anyway so no worries here my friend.

:worship: Nan, go read the New Year's Eve 2008 thread! Your aggressive tactic worked!

Turns out my mother wants to go to China for her 80th birthday travels.....hmmmmm can you say girls trip to China (mom, sisters (which will be just me and Lee cuz the other ones will bail) and the granddaughters....Kristen 25, Miss Molly 10) side trip....hong kong disney here we come :lmao:

Paul : "I'm not taking another trip with your mom"
Nan : "Good you're not invited"
Paul : "Can't you pay for those other cruises before you plan this trip"
Nan : "this ones on Dad, how can I say no to that?"
Paul : "have fun"

Now, how do we explain this to Wilson?????

Hong Kong!?!?!?!

Did Paul say have fun before or after you picked him up off the floor ;)

You gonna visit Disney there too?

duh...of course, that's what I meant.....:confused3 isn't that implied with my freakish Disney obbession?

in the investigating stage. how's the weather over there at what time of year. Mom's bday is August, but I doubt we'd go then, I would think it would be really hot & humid....

man that place is cool, I'd so like to go there too....perhaps we need a side trip in the other land in the orient????:confused3 :lmao:

who will tell Paul for me?:rotfl2:

my poor old dad gets more grief in the grave than when he was here will us. Okay not really, he got alot of bs from us when he was here....

Hey, how's the weather baby? I saw Burlington on the news last night and smacked Paul and said that's where Tiggie is!!!!

The weather is clearing up actually...

John brought me in cause everything was ice this morning...but the sun is coming out now. We were supposed to get rain all day and then the temp is supposed to drop to about 16. It's gonna get ugly again but for now it's fine.

As long as I don't have to drive in it I'm fine ;)

:lmao:

I can absolutely picture you smacking him...happily...you didn't bruise him did you?
