Christmas Cruise 2005!!!

Tig, I was sitting on my bed with a stack of bills to pay, checkbook in hand, ready to start writing, when I found 3 countem 3 outstanding parking tickets!! Two are mine and one is Chad's. (One double parking and the other two being too close to a fire hydrant.) One was due today, so I ran to the computer to pay them all online, and then I got ppuullllleeeeedddd to the Dis! Now how did that happen?

I'm trying to get back to my bills, but this is too much fun!

I did a little homework this weekend...

First, from our who's cruisin list...
All who have given us their cabin numbers, except Grim and Nan, are on the same deck. Grim is on deck 2 and Nan is up on deck 8 both about center of the ship, starboard side.

In the order of cabins, Aft to forward are:
Colkath2005-Colette in 6633 and 6635 starboard side
RRB-Randy in 6630 starboard
Domiii-(still need a name) in 6116, 6118 and 6120 port side
Me and TBJ-6610 starboard
Franco56-6062 port side
Aisling-6540 starboard
Belle&Beastcrazy-6511, 6512 & 6514 starboard.

If you'd like to share, these are the DISboarders who have not shared actual cabin #'s yet...

You and I are a good 30 cabins away from each other, I wonder how far that really is?

Would we be able to see each other from that far away in the hall???

Is it better to be on port or starboard? what do you see out of each side?

Just got back from Disney store, okay I'm a freak, but so are the rest of you Had to take back that swim suit....refund 12.91 charge 45.62, how does that happen..... must not go shopping must go to work now....

I'll be back later in the late afternoon to ramble and not do my packing I'm sure....

I bought a dress Saturday!!! Cate's grad party was as good an excuse as I need...It'll be perfect for one of our "normal" dinners.

I bought it at Target...

so sorry, no pics right now...

Maybe tonight I'll do a shot of mine and Brittany's new dresses...hers is a black and pink polka dot and mine is a brown paisley...they're both spaghetti strap, knee length dresses.

I don't do Capris...or Speedos either

As tall as I am, it's all body-Capris just make my legs look shorter...
so far, I'm bringing a kacky skort (the skirt goes all the way around, not just in the front) and I have a dressy brown skirt (still need to find a blouse to go with it) and my new paisley dress.

I think I need to get moving on the semi, the formal and my pirate outfits...

I hit the 6 month mark on wednesday.

I also did a little homework on possible meeting places...

Here are a few:

The Radisson-the night before.
Fresh Gulf Stream Cooffe Bar-it's on the right side of the entrance to the gangway.
The terminal
The promenade lounge-it has a bar and lots o seating.
Deck10-sail away party, only suggestion was that we have a SPECIFIC meeting area, I'm told it gets so crowded it can be very difficult to find anyone.
Deck 7 aft verandah-quiet area with plenty of seating.
Deck 3 Lounge
Each other's rooms
Scoops
Palo
Atrium lobby-There's a "tree lighting" at 8pm.
The Beverage Center on deck 9.
The Pools


soooooooo, there will lots o opportunities for us to visit and have a grand ol Disney time together



Hubby's outside to pick me up, so I'm headed home...

Our group had two dis meets
One at the Radisson & one at the promenade lounge. Deck 7 is nice but the lounge is the bomb & you are right near the computer terminal & all important the BAR.

Luggage
Laurie had normal size luggage & I had a large suitcase & a carry on
We put the lifejackets under the bed & our luggage In the closet. They had one side I had the other. mine fit perfect on my side.

Clothes.
I had dresses, shorts, capris, sandels, sneakers, In other words take everything & wear what your moods dictates. Who knows you might want to wear 4 outfits in one day.

First I planned on packing a ton of clothes, then I decided to take as little as possible and double/triple up on wearage, but now Jill you've convinced me to go back to my original plan!

Luggage>?

I figured on bringing what they allow, two suitcases, one carry on and one shoulder bag for each passenger.

One of us will switch the shoulder bag for a garment bag, for our formal gear

One of my suitcases will be my Mickey cooler...on the plane I'll carry on my gym bag and check my cooler; getting on the boat, I'll be rolling in my cooler and checking my gym bag.

The whole time, I'll have my shoulder bag for my first day essentials.

Make sense?
