My neighbor redid one of his rooms & took the railing out. I used it as a headboard. It was really cool. I sold that house. Now it sits on the front porch behind the sofa. One of the projects now is to take all of the old paint of the stairs. I had to remove a portion of the railing. It may eventually be replaced by the - you guessed it - the multi-functional railing.

Landscaping
It took me about five years to landscape & hardscape my yard. When I finished it I sold the house. It added about $5000 to the value of the house.

Yes, I got a kitten. Couldn't wait. He is all black, about 3 or 4 months old & right now he is watching the curser on the computer. The second day I had him when I came home he was limping. I thought he got into something & broke his leg. He didn't want it touched & his paw was hot. The vet said he had an infection & a temp of 104. He was given anti-biotics & now he is fine.

In the garage!!! You should have seen the room a month ago. It consisted of the bed, an un-used eliptical excercise machine, plastic tubs full of clothes, garbage bags full of Good Will donations and bare walls. It would still be like that if we weren't putting the house on the market. We do hope to keep the new bedroom looking 'neat', so wich us luck...

No way - my back hurt just LOOKING at the 15 tons of granite they dumped on the street in front of my house. I helped my BIL shovel rock once - ONCE. I'm too tender for that kinda work

Tig--IF I can figure out how, I will post pic of "garden" area. I am always surprised how easy my digital camera is to play w/--once I actually decide to do it. I have a full 256MB memory card that I need to download; instead I just switched it w/ the 20MB one. Sad, I know. It will probably take 5 min. max. to download. Will take longer to delete all of them off the card once I download. HMMMMM...should go read the directions. There must be a way to clear out the whole card, not just one at a time....
Franco--are you feeling a bit better about the cruise! I am looking forward to meeting this cruise even more than the last!
Well, better go do SOMETHING productive. Another cloudy rainy day here. I need the sun to energize me!

Grim: Pixie dust and good wishes towards the sale of the house. If the bedroon is any example of what the house looks like it will sell fast and high. Remind us when do you move into the new one? What is new on the build on it?

I'm up to the pre-game part on my Giants night, I figured I should just take this time to journal the whole story so I can scrap it once I'm done. It was an amazing night, I hope I can capture the concepts in the right words. I'll be looking for constructive critism when I post from you scrappers. (Tigg, how about we set up a time next week for you to walk me thru posting my pics?) When is good for you to be online? I'm pretty flexible most weekdays.)

We are off to a birthday ice skating party today. Yesterday was a lazy stay at home and finish your book kind of day. So nice.

Last week of school, yahoo! Can't wait for it to be over this year. DD teachers just weren't the best. Next year looks to be good for both DD & DS.

We'll better go get the kids dressed for ice skating in our 80+ degree weather. Why do people ice skate in the summer, just seems odd to me.

Grim: Remind us when do you move into the new one? What is new on the build on it?

They said 10 months to build when we signed the contract. It's been 2 months, so 8 to go! They haven't started building yet. We have our 'pre-construction meeting' with the foreman this Tuesday. I'm guessing they'll start digging within the next 2 weeks.

Nan, I saw the news about the earthquake in Cali...scary! Years ago, DH and I visited LA and were surprised to see the "in case of earthquake" instructions in the hotel room! But I loved LA, Venice Beach, the whole Orange County area. Someday I hope to be bi-coastal, if real estate prices would give me a chance to buy out there.

Tig, a few posts ago you posted a pic of you and your children, and wow you look good in that one. My goal is to have a nice small waist like you in that pic!

Have you a photo host site? There are a million of them out there...Aisling uses Photobucket, TBJ uses Webshots, I use DisneyWorldTrivia...I believe all of these are free and offer unlimited use of their support.

Aisling: That pic was in 1993! I haven't looked like that in six years But I'm getting there, sloooooooooooowly...that was me as a size 10. My big bones won't let me go much smaller than that without looking anorexic.

I'm watching tv waiting for the Michael Jackson verdict. Imagine his stress level right now.

I was typing about the dream I had last night, so vivid, I still feel it like it really happened. We were boarding the ship for the cruise, and a very charming CM took a shine to me, and he turned out to be the captain! He took special care of me, showing me around the ship, and I loved it. It really was a grreat dream, wow, I hope it continues tonight!

I could really go for a vanilla malted right now, it's so hot. I'm waiting for my air conditioing to cool off this room. We don't have central air, just window ACs, so I have them off when no one's here. I have to go into my hot kitchen soon to cook.

DH has a soft spot for his puppy and lets me keep one unit on all day...

We have two window units and are ready to put in #3 in DDs room.

So what do you think of the verdict? I personally think MJ is a strange dude. I really enjoy*ed* his music growing up, but now I have just this bad feeling in my stomache when I see and hear him. I'm not so sure that the little boy (& family) told the truth but regardless I feel very sad for the child in the middle of this situtation. A parent should know better.

IMHO, MJ is hiding something...whether it be sexual or alcohol or otherwise related he has issues.

..and also, it's as much the parent's fault for allowing their child to spend that much time with an adult who clearly has questionable motives.

Guilty or not - they created reasonable doubt. Also, if they didn't convict on the major charges the lesser charges the wording was geared to co-incide with the major charges. Goooood lawyers. I'll bet the convicts where I work wish they had either them or OJ's layers.
