:earsgirl: I will make sure I remind the TA I am a returning cruiser. I will make a trip to McGuire AFB beginning of June. I already made the May payment. Rose said she would give something in May tell her to wait till the end of the month & I will take that also.

I still have you Mothers day card. I thought you would be at Lauries that day. I saw MIlo for the first time. Soooooooooo cute.

I have a zillion pictures of Las Vegas from when I went there & the Grand Canyon & The Dam. Loved it. If you can get there-go.

Well, today is my hump day since I'm off Sundays & MOnday so happy hump day.

Jill :moped:

Rose just bought Stefani a Car...

She was glad you didn't need a payment right away, she found a great deal and didn't have to pass it up. So thank you.

I truly veg'd on Mother's Day

Sorry I didn't get to see you.

Vegas isn't very high on my travel list...

But John is only talking about spending a long weekend there. We have a friend out there right now that would put us up, we would only have to get there and bring spending money.

I'm not a gambler, but I think it's worth going to Vegas just to say I've seen it :teeth:

Nan, you and I are two peas in a pod! But I HATE kid's birthday parties (am I a bad mom or just human...??!!) :bday:
But it was her choice. We used to say you could only invite as many as you are old, too...but we have 3 neighbor girls, 4 girls who are daughters of the couples we run with, 5 little girls from school whose parties she has gone to...and one who is her best buddy. (one gave invite Tuesday after we had mailed ours out, and not to her...quick hand delivery Wednesday!) I may be insane...pizza dinner, foam doorknob hangers to make, plus paint little heart-shaped wooden boxes (activity PLUS take home goodie...), play outside...movie...HOPEFULLY will go well. One no already, a couple have never done sleepovers, so not sure how will go...one still wears a pull up (at 7!) I THINK we can fit them all on the floor in our long family room in basement. And then I get to wrap up my portfolio for my math class Sunday! I may need several cocktails tomorrow night....:drinking1
DH and I may try to hit Cancun first week June (I LOVE a bargain!), although we have talked about Vegas in August. We were married there, and used to go twice a year...it has been over a year...need a vaca!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tig--my folks are travelling a lot. And bless them, they babysit for us 2-3x/ month so we can keep this a happy marriage :love2: :rolleyes1
I don't want to rush things--I am a much happier mom now that my kids are past toddler age and required 24/7 watch! I do look forward to when we can travel to our hearts (and wallets) content. But really do enjoy them now and anticipate years of enjoyment (and challenges, too...). Funny how cute OTHER peoples's babies are...I really struggled w/ the lack o' sleep and the needing to watch babe so close...then that 3-4 1/2 year old "stage"--who said terrible twos?? LOVED two--threes were horrid w/ each of mine (HUGE tantrums)--then somewhere around 4 1/2 each of them became lovely youngsters again, and I have liked them pretty well ever since!
We have had a TON of rain--about 1.5-2" in last 24 hours...one town had 11" last night--all flooded. Too bad. :umbrella:
Well, gonna go hang w/ the 2 little ones and watch Survivor. DS9 had chorus concert--I saw it at dress rehearsal this afternoon.
WOW! I am a babbling today...sorry folks
Bye! :wave2:
Kristin

Type A personality, laying out bored me as a teen, burned anyway...hate heat.
But let me tell you, a week at the Jersey shore and a week in the Caribbean and I can't wait to get back to the ocean! I am amazed that you can get a tan slathered in sunscreen! And finally my life is full of activity (the way I like it), so I relish going places where there is little to do but lounge in the sun.
Crazy...last year I had the best tan of my life...was nice for my 20 year reunion. Interestingly, my size 14 bod was the biggest one there! (DH commented that many of my classmates must be anorexic to look like that after several kids...we realize some people are naturally thin, but there were inordinately many!) Didn't bother me, I still had a blast and felt I looke good.
BUT the good news is that the working out and watching my intake has finally paid off!!!!!!!!! 5 lbs. dropped! (it seems to do that for me..not 1 or 2 at a time regularly, but 5 in chunks less frequently) WOO HOO! Incentive to keep going! And I wanted deluxe nachos last night at the horse track SOOOO bad. Luckily the power went out just as my willpower was waning! On opening night, too--lost them a ton of $!!! A friend of ours owns a horse, so we went to see it run...no luck. But the kids had fun running around, and we had fun socializing.
WELL...gotta go get ready for the deluge of 7 year olds.....
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Kristin
:bday: dear Hailey... :bday: to you!

:faint: Can't decide if I should try to nap a bit, or just slug it out...
Party went really well. We had 3 groups of girls (neighbors, friend's girls and classmates); they began in their familiar groups, but were all old friends by parties end. No problems, really. Ate pizza, played outside, made foam door hangers, painted trinket boxes, presents, cookie cake, jammies, Princess Diaries 2...I fell asleep during it(11?), woke to the credits(11:30?), turned it off, no one complained (DS4 did pitch fit earlier--wanted to sleep w/ girls!). I decided to sleep on sofa in basement w/ girls--several had never done a sleepover. They were all fine. One talked in sleep(3AM), one had coughing fit at 5AM, medicine at 5:30, DS4 shows bup at 6:15 wanting to watch a movie! So while all went well, EXHAUSTED today...no brain energy to workout or ponder math (or much else). DH at grad parties in Omaha today.
Hope you are all having super weekend! Send energy!
Kristin

Kris:

No energy found here. I had the Brownie 1st time overnight from Friday 5pm to Saturday noon. Once home, had to dash out shopping to see if DD and I could find the cute Groovey Girl Backpack a fellow brownie got at Marshalls, found backpack (cheap $12) found cruise flip flops with beaded starfish (white with one row of black beads in the middle) I really must get this add photo thing down...lounged the rest of the day & night to recover, slept in today until 9:30 am (is that sleeping in?) and then watched movies from then until now...time to prepare for Brownie meeting at 2pm.

I have to say I LOVE b-day parties for the kids. Well I love planning them and buying the stuff. The actually party stresses me out to no end. I want them to be perfect. (read Martha Stewart wannabe, actually I'm nicknamed Nartha by my playgroup friends at Halloween). Bdays are 2nd to Disney in my life. The best thing of course would be a real Disney bday, but can't bring myself to have them/us travel away on the real bday to make that happen. Maybe some year I'll snag a friend for a day trip at DL for a fly down and back one day suprise. That would cost a fortune, but DD or DS would love the suprise of it. (I think???)

My little one is calling from the neighbor's backyard, better go see what it is...

TTFN :wave2:

Hi Gang,

I'm happy to hear the party went well, Kristin. I only have boys, so I've never had the delight of having a party for a bunch of little girls. I have neices, but they don't live near me. Happy birthday to your little princess! :flower:

I spent my weekend doing major spring cleaning, and it feels good to walk around and see everything spotless and in it's place. I got rid of a lot of unused items, clothes, toys, etc.

Chad just got a T-Mobile SideKick phone, and it's awesome. Here's a pic he just took of Jesse.

Have any of you been reading the Live from the Repo cruise thread?? What an adventure they're on. I love it that they're posting photos already!

I'll be back later!

Just putting in for my sub tomorrow...sadly, to finish Math...actually that is a happy thing!
Nan--funny thing, I hate the planning and thinking about it, but the actual party is never too bad. Funny...Getting REAL close to bed...gotta go watch Grey's Anatomy first. Patrick Dempsey is such a hotty! :lovestruc (and he was SUCH a dweeb in the 80s!)
Aisling--my SIL has 2 boys and used to spoil Hailey rotten on her bday when we exchanged gifts. I would scold, but she said that's how she gets her girl fix! The girls really were all lovely, and just as nutty as boys.
Night! :wave2:

Tig, I was just going to ask about the prom, and voila, photos!
The kids look gorgeous, especially Brit in that red dress! It's definitely her color! Is the prom tonight, last night, over the weekend?? What a memorable time in their lives. Your handsome son sure like to ham it up for the camera! There's one photo of him and his GF that's really beautiful, the third one up from the bottom. But where's the photo of their lovely mom with her teens??

Lol! :rotfl2:

Mom's behind the camera!!!

The Prom was this past Friday...

They look great dressed up, don't they?

My kids are true hams-he's showing his socks in the one photo-one is tweety bird and the other is the Hulk :rotfl2:

I showed Britt the pic Jesse, he looks just like a good friend of hers :teeth:

Nan:

Let me know if you need tutiledge on how to post photos. PM me if you'd like, I'll answer whatever questions you've got.

FYI/cmj.

Day off went well...quick trip to Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off most scrapbooking stuff! Was that ever fun!
Got that d*mn math stuff done & in the mail...video shot of me teaching was a bonk--bad tape I guess. (Like that one really bothered me!)
But Tig!!!!! What fun!!!!!!!! :dancer: :rockband:  :flower3: :guilty:
I wanna go to prom! I look forward to my kids' proms!!!!
I went into Von Maur (dept. store) recently and all those lovely dresses! See, you will get everyone dressed up again in December!!!!!!! More pics--only Mommy needs to be in some this time!!! (I know--I have to do a scrapbook about me for Provo this summer, and I have SOO few pics of me. I will have to work on that!)
Got Hailey ANOTHER dress on ebay---red Minnie velvet, cost me about $6 w/ shipping! She already has 3 to take, not including Princess dresses...but she is a fashionista, so I'm sure a different dress each night is in order! (like Momma, like daughter!)
I was a bit worried, ya'll--no posts until late today!!!!!
How many days??!!
Better go watch the rest of Survivor...no telling!
Kristin :wave2:

It's me, Tigger:ssst:
I've been keeping my eye out for that perfect dress...

While I was taking Brittany around the tri-state area putting that prom outfit together...over the last three weeks!!!!!!!!!

I was checking out this "season's styles."

I bought the power 90 exercise system videos and started using it this past weekend. OMG!!!!!! the 10 minute Abs are killer!! I'm looking forward to clearance shopping in NC come August, hopefully looking at a couple sizes smaller than what I am right now. I figure, even if I don't lose much weight, being tighter could look better ;)

~IMHO-not how much you weigh, but how well you carry it!~

OMG!!!!!! the 10 minute Abs are killer!!

Abs, oh abs, wherefore art thou abs??? It's been so long since I've seen you, touched you, loved you!!!!!!!!!!! Come out from hiding, oh you lovely abs, come out from deeeeeeeeeeeeep within the soft cushiony flesh that has kept you prisoner for the last 12 years! Break freeee, dearest ligiments of musculature, you mighty strands of exquisite connective tissue which caress my belly and fondle my tummy. I'm here, waiting for you, my love, my sweet sweet abs of long agooooooooooo!

Somebody's Giddy tonight!

I'm rollin on the floor after that one!

I have all kinds of exercise equipment. I re-arrange it. re-locate it even touch it as I walk by & say some day. :cool1:
The last few days are called shoveling dirt, digging up roots from bushes, putting more stones in the driveway. & of course taking a little time 4 days a week to go to the rink. I didn't know sooooooo many muscles could hurt at one time. I used 1/2 tube of ben gay. (Maybe I'll fit in my formal dress, now) ::yes::

Boy I sure love the pictures of Tiggerwannabe's DD - DS - GF. & the Mom behind the camera is pretty cool too. Can you tell I'm related. :love1:

Aisling

I'm glad your Computer is ok now. :badpc:

Kristin, Nan good deal on clothes. Can you get me some good prices? :wizard:

FRANCO - WHERE ARE YOU?? :rolleyes1
