Just in case of seasickness, Dramamine (or however it is spelled) is available for sale on board. I can't even ride the crazy rides anymore without getting sick.
However, The Captain will make your cruise as smooth as you could ever want. The design of the ship is so that the ride is awesome. Now, we were in hurricane weather & there was one day the ride was a wee bit rough. It was the only day out of all 10 days that I took a pill just in case.

The teens on our cruise were for the most part not too bad. They, of course, had their moments. But, none so dramatic as you have described. I'm sure if you have raised your kids right & you show your love :lovestruc & that you care. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. I feel from listening that is the type of parents you are. And, especially we have so many Moms that are teachers.

It is going to be an awesome cruise - we are going to have a great time.

Have a great weekend. :bounce:

Jill :moped:

PS: I only roller skate. I tried ice skating. I could only go backwards. Besides, I hate being cold.
Aisling, there are much cheaper skates that can even be bought at a rink or sports store. Mine are that expensive just because of the competition.

Lime in beer??? I have a feeling I'm going to be learning a few new things on this cruise! :drinking1 ;) :cool1:
Absolutely!!!!!!!
Stick with me Kid, I'm an excellent Teacher!!! :cool1:

Kristin, we've never cruised before, that's why I'm starting to get nervous. I'm also getting nervous about...I can't even say it...loose teens fooling around too close to the rails. All of a sudden, the fears are popping up. I read a TR where a lady said the CMs piled the lounge chairs three on top of each other next to the deck 9 (or10) rail, and her daughter climbed up on it! She grabbed the girl before anything could happen. My kids are older, and I'm not worried about my 19 (20 by then) year old, but I have a sociable 13 year old son who hasn't really ever been out of my sight the way he'll be when we cruise.
About getting sick, I'm just going to make sure we start taking something before the ship starts moving, just in case.
I've been sharing these stories with my Brittany...
Did you ever read about the kid who jumped off the verandah at one of the ports on a dare? He was confined to his cabin for the rest of that cruise!! I will also add very Lucky :sad2: :boat:

I already started speaching her about horseplay on the decks-" there will be none of that!" I even speached her about new teens and precosiousness (sp?) of others-and they got the speech "I WILL kick both butts if I find them acting like anything other than proper ladies they are! "---yada yada yada---

How'd you do that, you tech genius??

:rotfl2: I was sitting here, thinking (:ssst: that's code for bored )

I used the same method as the links in my signature and instead of typing in words, I pasted the image code for a photo...

Like I told ya...stick with me kid, you'll learn alot!!!!!

I wish....

 I need to pick up some dinner when I pick up Britt and Stef tonight...gonna have to be a light one ;)

but I get experience credit for my one cruise, huh? Go figure!
Mom & I do NOT like dramamine--makes us zooey (we react the same to meds--usually the opposite from the rest of the world). She just ask GP for patches--no problem. Actually, I used the 3 my dad had left over and he outweighs me by at least 150lbs. They may have caused me dry-mouth but I didn't realize it. And I could tell when it was time to change them. But everyone reacts differently, so I recommend trying everything out first!
Aisling--you've never heard of lime in Corona? Wow! But then again, a bartender in Wash. D.C. said he'd make me a Colorado Bulldog if I told him what was in it! (Kaluha, cream & cola--diet for me) Isn't it funny things we always have had are nonexistant elsewhere in the country?!
My paranoia is probably unfounded. I am trying to get DS4 & DD7 pool-safe--I don't need excellent swimmers, just if they fell in, know that they could get their head out of the water and to the side. There is a "Nazi" swim school (no, not real name) that my friends have used, but not cheap and crappy schedule...then I think, it's not like you swim in the ocean, nor the kiddie pool.
How deep is the goofy pool?
Well, beat. Just had school carnival(90 degrees here :sunny: --actually clear, calm winds, not so bad), dance party and ball practice. Cocktail anyone?
See ya! :wave2:

This is like a live chat! :grouphug:
Hey, that cooler is cool! But I don't think I can take it as a carry on--one of the dimensions can be no more than 9". RATS!
I'll check back!
Kristin

I got my Bud with me...

I gonna go upstairs and get my passporter and look that up for you, :)

brb too

90!!!!!!!!!!!! Sudden Heatwave?

Yes, I feel so alive right now...just had a nice cold cooler!

Ta Daaaaaaa!!! Goofy's Pool is 48" or 122 cm :teeth:

Almost live, it's like the 7 second delay on the Superbowl ;)

Passporter has the depths, want any others?

WIne cooler Aisling? Have you tried the corona and lime yet?

Kristin:

I'll check the cooler on the plane, I'll keep the cooler with me when we board the ship ;)

Just cracked an ice cold Miller Lite myself! :drinking1
A little bit warm the last couple days, but back in the 70s by Sunday :goodvibes
I'm pretty sure for that carry on--see, we're flying!
Be back! :p
Kristin

See!!!

That's what I mean by the 7 second delay...:rotfl2:

Go back and check my answer above :)

I gotta disappear for 30 minutes...DD and Stef need their ride.

Hope to see you all when I get back...

~TTFN~

WIne cooler Aisling? Have you tried the corona and lime yet?
No, I think I'll wait until I'm on the cruise with u 2 girls so u can take a pic of me with my face scrunched up!

But I don't think I can take it as a carry on--one of the dimensions can be no more than 9".
I hope it's small enough to be a carry-on! That's what I'll be using when we board!

Checking the cooler...
I don't think I can check anything that SMALL!!!!
I was thinking 30" suitcases for Dan & I, plus garment bag checked. Leaves one hand for Jack! (his stuff will have to go in ours--he's little) Bought rolling duffels for older kids to check so they can roll their own. Plus backpacks each for plane ride. Probably bring one carry on w/ suits...unless we wear them under...tough...definitely packing carry on (rolls tight), plus trapper-keeper sized cooler. Trying to be efficient w/ the 3 kids!
Almost bought tan Claiborne jacket for Jack 75% off last night, but like when else would he wear it? Too dressy for Sunday school. Did buy the boys matching Claiborne tropical shirts for 75% off--cool. And I think I mentioned the Disney vests a gal on these boards sent to me for shipping only (HOW nice!) fit Jack (4) but not Marcus (9). And Hailey has 3 dressy dresses plus Princess dresses, and she is a diva....oh, gees, I better start packing around Thanksgiving!
Let's keep pumping up the # of messages!!! GO GIRLS! :Pinkbounc

But how many pairs of SHOES?? I love shoes! That's my biggest "problem", deciding which shoes to take.

It seems like most we have flown is like 9x12x16 or something. Maybe I'm wrong. I'd just hate to have you pay the $75 extra bag fee!
See, it is so much easier w/ teenagers--they can (theoretically) be responsible for their own luggage! And I KNOW I am dreaming about what we are going to bring--we took 2 carry-ons(including the one packed), 2-30", garment bag & golf clubs just for 2 of us! I nixayed the golf clubs for this trip. He can rent--cheaper than losing a kid!
All these people say they packed too much clothes--SOO not the case for me. Had exactly the right amount--cas outfit for daywear, dressier each night. No repeats--I perspire (re: sweat!), and am known to spill...
I'd like 2 swimsuits, but at Miraclesuit prices, I'll go a bit damp--the sun will dry it. Or since we will have a verandah this time, I'll hang it there--heaven forbid it flies away, though!!!!!
BE back--
Kristin

Kristin, I think you'll be in a larger stateroom than my family, so you have a bit more room to put away clothes and luggage. We have a regular verandah room. I've never seen them in person, but I'm fairly sure the family verandah room is bigger.
I'll be back...gotta go pick up Jesse. If you can't wait for me to come back, no sweat. But I'll miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
