Hey Aisling

I can read your posts now without glasses.

Tigg - Received the AKL confirmation & it is definitely $161 & that includes tax.

Suggestion on dining during Holiday. Go to DCL tribute or check some of the reports that include the daily navigatior for a holiday.

Karen: my 2 cents added in as well

There was an idea of us each filling a diddy bag of 10 items from our hometown and swapping them with each other at our first meet onboard.

I went to see if someone would come back and clarify what people put in them and how did they decide who got what...

 Hi Mom! Yay AKL!!!! :hyper:

Tig--I like the hometown goodie idea. I'm thinking anything Husker would get me by!
SO tired here...not used to working so much! No, really, a bad nights sleep...2 storms, 3 kids, DH, cat & alarm woke me up every hour or so (well, only one of them did each time!) POOPED! A bit overwhelmed here at school. You'd think after 15 years it would get easier...in some ways it is, but all this stupid No Child Left Behind crap has made teaching miserable in some ways. I just need the kids to get here...that will remind me why I REALLY do this job!
Just scanned through your posts...will try to read more thoroughly this weekend. Gotta head back to disneydirect for Marcus...I do need to scour the party places for after Halloween sales (surprisingly we are off Nov.1!)
Have some good ideas for homemade costumes, too. Looked at patterns--cripes $15 for a pattern, plus material, plus accessories (plus talk aunt into sewing....). Disney looks pretty cheap at $35 for whole outfit! But HOW are we gonna pack those d*mn hats??!! :earseek:
Well, Cubby game is over, so Marcus is ready to depart.
Talk to ya tomorrow or Sunday, kids!
Kris

 Hope your next week and weekend are better Kris

Cool! I can do Philly stuff since that's closest to my home. I'm only going to ask that each family do one bag of 10 small items-lunchbag size bag.

Anyone else wanna do this?

Hi Tori,
I used to love playing volleyball in school, but now I'd be huffin and puffin after five minutes of whacking the ball.
Your post made me think of something I hadn't thought of before: HW over Christmas vacation. I don't have to worry about Chad, because he's in college, and they don't get assignments during vacation in his school, but Jesse...he'll be in 8th grade, and I'm trying to remember if he got much HW last year during Christmas break. I hope he doesn't, but I guess we'll deal with it.
Jesse saw your picture on the mypage site, I think he got it from the teen board, and he thinks you're cute!

^^ Ahww That's so sweet...He got it from a teen board? I didn't post a picture I don't think. Maybe it's myspace does he have a myspace? The good thing is I will have my braces off on Sept. 27th! So I won't have em for the cruise!!!

On the teen board, Jesse saw your post about your myspace site. I guess I'm not as cool as I thought I was, since I called it the mypage site!!

Now, what to put in the gift bags from my fair city...hmmm...a dead rat from the subway, brown water from the public drinking fountains, an illegible double-parking ticket, an "authentic" Gucci bag bought from the man on the corner, an autograph from a Bowery bum, a handgun taken from a kindergarten kid, written instructions on how to pronounce wauta, Coney Island bacteria-infested sand, a bag of crack, and shoulder pads for walking down the streets of Manhattan!

i SOOOOO agree with you! i just cringe when i hear those words anymore. it always means tons more work coming my way, and i already work 2-3 hours at home each night after leaving school!

3 day weekend next weekend, yay! :cheer2:

Just ended my 2nd week with kids. We had a drug bust yesterday
3 girls and one boy suspended for 9 days each for passing around speed, cigarettes, and joints. The worst part....2 of the parents were angry at the school that their kids were getting suspended!!!!

Well~completely exhausted here....need to go vegitate on the couch :earboy2:

Aisling: This stuff has to go in a lunch bag hun-How about a Statue of Liberty souvie or RCMHall cup or a WODisney Store button or pin?

I feel like I'm yelling!

 Hugs to you too Dede :earseek:

Looky looky :magnify:

Represet!

New York City
NJ Flemington area

North Carolina
NJ-Philly area

the areas I do not have that have visited our thread are for;
Belle&BeastCrazy
RRB

Disneylover4

Here's a game, can you match all the states to whom they belong?

Tigg: Clearly too much time on your hands again.

Asiling: You had me until the shoulder pads, since I have those in my closet in my clothes from the 80's :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm totally in, but I have to tell you that I have bubbles...I can never pass up a sale...75% off summer loot at Walgreens yesterday. I actually I have 88 jars of bubbles, if Molly will let me let bring them...we are having a discussion over bringing them on the cruise or bringing them on a class field trip. (20 kids per class, 2 classes each (molly & wilson)...they swap English/Spanish mid day so that means 40 kids time 2 = 80 for me to buy for, a bit hard, but I'll manage) the extra 8 was the Brownie troop, but then I thought hmmmmm, these little jars (the kind that don't spill) are great for the ship. Thinking outloud....Maybe I can send them to Tigg and let them drive them down to FL, huh???? Isn't someone in your group driving, Jill is that you?

Now for real describe this swap idea a little better for us slow people on the west coast. (don't worry Dede & Grim are not on the ocean like me) Will we each bring 10 bags of crap...oops I mean gifts, or 10 gifts or 10 whatever you are talking about???? and add them to the bags????who brings the bags. Just give me explict directions and I'll comply.

Okay, worked too long today, just heading over the the Boardwalk for a few hours of rides and fun, we are so late we are missing the concert...Surivor, oh well.

Ciao for now,

Nan

Do ya think I should use a smaller size???? :confused3 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Aisling uses a four!

You seem to be using a five or a six. Ayup...bored...nobody home...can't do anything cause I gotta move a yoot. (youth in NJersey speak)

Nan, I heard about you Californians. We gotta work wit yoos in San Jose der.

Read this sloooowly...bring 10 little gifts. The total size of the pack of the 10 little gifts must fit into the lunch bag. I will bring enough matching bags for everyone and coordinate the swap. Ooooo k?

Nan, I think you should use the bubbles at school and yes, Mom is driving down. She's already lugging some of our stuff :ssst: mail your bulky stuff to me and I'll sneak it into my suitcase :ssst:

Aisling: the World of Disney in NYC - I got the most adorable statue of liberty minnie pins from the store - now I am jealous!!! Your post had my DM and I in stitches :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Only - Flemington - Flemington Furs? - can't fit that into a bag - might have to think long and hard about this one!!!

Tig: Great IDEA!!!! WOD for Aisling

MAYBE (now Aisling DO NOT STEAL) We (the Abbatiello clan) can do Disney BROADWAY pins - only available in NYC - AISLING DO NOT STEAL!!!!!

okkkkk I'm catching up. small thing(s) in a bag hello!!! but I'm so stuck on that darn number 10!!! Do only 10 people get to be involved in the swap? I guess since I'm in CA I'd have to go shopping in Disneyland for you all :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: see how I made it about me getting to go to Dland again :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know, I'm not using you as an excuse or anything.

Gotta go ride my bike to the park with the kids & DH...wish me luck.

Karen, that is SO funny, because long ago at the beginning of this thread, I think it was your DH Dom who said he made a killing trading Broadway Disney pins. I think he even advised me to get some for the cruise! Lucky for the Abbatiello clan that I'm so doggone lazy!
I won't steal, I promise, but I want to! :bitelip:

Ooh, please oh please try to squeeze into the lunch bag!!!!!

Nan, you're scarin' me! I hope you're not going to call me ***-i-ling when we meet!

And Tig, I'm sorry for being :upsidedow , but where does the 10 come from??

By the way, thanks for posting the scrapbook site!

Asiling: Huh? what is ***-i-ling..is it like a fecklar? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

ok, what's so great about a flemington fur??? are they badgers badgers badgers....darn you Grim pirate: those stupid rodents are still singing in my head.

btw, the park was ok. I'm just not into riding my bike behind my kids. They move too slow for me to enjoy the ride. I know I'm a bad mom....I'd just rather be with them at Disneyland than on a bike ride.

I have to go back to work tonight, uggghhhhgggg.

Tomorrow sis and I are taking mom out shopping and to lunch for her bday. Mom is going to UCSF on Monday for her Gamma Knife Radiation treatment. They will bolt a metal (i think) frame to her head then put her into an MRI (that's why I think on the metal part) scan where the tumor is and then shoot it with radiation. The other 2 sisters are going to be with mom&dad that day, so I'm not going to be there. It's my kids first day at school, Wilson's 1st day in Kindergarten. I'm worried, but no letting it get in my head right now.

Kris: & Dede: Keep up your spirits at school. We all need great teachers like you guys :teacher: . I'll keep you in my thoughts as we go back on Monday and remember to say thanks more often this year.

okay to work soon,,,watching Dr.Phil now, mindless dribble.....

let me know what you guys think.
