Christmas Crowds

Yes
Week from Christmas to January 2 is crowded

Week leading up to Christmas fills up the parks quickly for some days

If you see onsite room rates high, you will see large park crowds

We were there Dec 29 to jan 4 and we did Dec 30 and 31 at the 2 Universal parks.
The answer is YES.

Many of us will look at the ep price chart to get an idea of predicted crowd levels.
And when you see high prices for the onsite hotels, that also is an indicator.

those of us that have gone at different times of the year are aware of what to expect crowd wise.

reading about school holidays or breaks, also lets us know when more families will be in parks.

those little things add up and will help us suggest when we feel crowds will be there.

Thanks. Is there a crowd calendar similar to the ones you can find for Disney?
This is a way to test the crowd levels for FREE- ask how much a "fastpass" is for the day.
If its is cheap, the crowd levels are not high. On the 2 days we went, the cost of the fastpass was $160 per day on top of regular park admissions and parking etc. so we knew from that alone that crowd levels would be 10plus.
They base the cost of that on how many tickets they have sold for the day, room reservations so they know what the crowd is going to be.
