Christmas Crowds?

I was there from 12/12 - 12/21. I know this is a little early for christmas report but was in MK until 4pm on 12/21 and it was getting pretty hard to even move. I can't really speak to wait times. We were mainly doing the Sorcerer Game. But, I did do standby for Monsters and stood in a queue mega long but got in on the next show. I was surprised for the Christmas afternoon parade it was less crowded then when we saw the usual one earlier in the week.

Here is Main St at 9:30 am

And the path between Tangled and Haunted Mansion about 2 hours later.

Thanks for posting those! I would love to be there on Christmas. Maybe one of these years.

I've been collecting them from all over the Internet today and will put together a blog post tomorrow or Saturday. Crowds were crazy

I'd love to read the blog. Where will you omits it? The pictures of crowds on this thread don't seem to be as big as I'd thought....but I'd love more information before thinking/planning a Christmas trip.

In the words of Yogi Berra: Nobody goes there any more, it's too crowded.";)

EPCOT EMH was surprisingly chill tonight. After our San Angel dinner (almost took an hour to get seated), we did Mission Space green (5 min wait) then saw TT at 30 right as Illuminations was ending, TT was literally a walk on. then we did Figment for the fun of it, then went to Soarin. We were off Soarin 35 minutes after entering.
I honestly thought I'd only catch Nemo and Figment, but got the headliners on Christmas!

Our our way home from the MK on the bus. It pays to stay after the fireworks. Pirates was a walk on. Big Thunder claimed to be 40 mins. It was 15. 7 Dwarfs said the wait was 65 mins. It was 25. Space Mountain was a walk on. Everything else except for A&E had short wait times. We took a 3 hour break at our resort otherwise I wouldn't be able to make it until 1:00.

I've been surprised the fireworks have been so early with a late close. We hear them every night at our house. Hearing the train whistle after midnight has been crazy! Last night we joked about heading over to MK after the fireworks were over. It sounds like it wasn't all that crazy after all. I've been thinking I would stay away from the parks until at least Jan. 2nd, but maybe I just need to stay up late LOL!

It's BlogMickey.com

I'll also be including wait time data for all 4 parks. It takes a while to collect, so be patient with me ;)

I promise it'll be worth it :)

You can check out my Thanksgiving crowd breakdown in the mean time

Oh my gosh... I would be duct taping my hands together with my kids if I was there. haha!! I'm not sure I could handle it, but I do really want to go at Christmas time one year for the lights, decorations, etc. but maybe a week or two before Christmas would be good. lol

Looking at pictures and the ride lines yesterday reminded me of why I will never go to Disney Christmas or the week leading to and New Year's Day.

Thanks for the Christmas pictures. What happened to the garlands that run across Main Street from one building to another? I thought they put those up after the Christmas parade is filmed in early December.

They're gone. New parade floats don't fit under them so this is what Disney slapped up instead.

We were there last Christmas from Dec 21st - 26th. We thought the parks were manageable until the last day. We spent Christmas Day in Epcot and had a great day. We went to the MK on the 26th and it was the worst crowd I have ever seen. The shuffle is a perfect explanation. My dad was in a scooter and it was almost impossible to get around.

This year we returned for the last days of our AP from the 19th to 21st. It rained on the 21st in the late afternoon. We headed to Chefs de France for a 7:00 dinner reservation and then walked through a nearly empty World Showcase. We headed to the Magic Kingdom and it was still crowded, but not terrible. We rode lots of the smaller rides with ease. 7DMT had a 60 minute wait around 10 or 10:30.
