Christmas Cards?

Dh and I are going to DL next month (AHH!!!!) and were thinking it would be really cool if we could pick up our Christmas cards for this year while we're there...it would be something special and a lot more "us" than the ones in stores. Does DLR sell Christmas cards at all? If so, are they crazy expensive or reasonable?

Oh yes they do!! Lots of them! In fact, some of them are gorgeous! Some of them are quite clever. Some are funny. I remember either last year or in 2008, there was a beautiful card with a picture of the nighttime Winter Castle on it. It was a boxed set, but I think they still sell individual cards too. I used to buy a lot of Christmas cards at DLR a long time ago. They are in many shops. I don't think they were too outrageously expensive.

You can also get a really nice PhotoPass picture taken - maybe in front of the nighttime Winter Castle or some other signature DLR location - and have cards made. That's obviously more costly, but it can be a really nice touch.

The Christmas cards are in boxed sets of usually 8 or 10, all of the one design. They sell for $14 and $16. There are several different designs and they are all very cute. Whenever I can I buy a supply to send each year. I have a list going back the last 7 years saying who I sent which design to, so noone gets the same card twice. Choosing which card to send to which person is part of the fun and all our friends know as soon as they see a disney card that it came from us. (ok so I'm predictable)

We did this one year. We had our picture taken with Santa and then at home we bought the digital version of it from the photopass website (i think around $15?). Then we used that photo to order photo cards from Costco which are $15 for 50 cards. Costco even has some Disney designs you can choose from.
