Can anyone recommend a nice spot to pose my two boys for a christmas card photo??

I'm not sure what decorations will be up while were there (11/15-11/23). I know MK will have them due to the MVMCP. Any spot in there would be fine.

Also, has anyone seen a Disney-themed christmas card with a photo insert?? I'm assuming there's more christmas merchandise than the year-round christmas stores normally have.

If you can, please post your holiday picture here. I'd love to see them and get ideas!

Thanks,
Mare

We go over to Winter Summerland mini golf, next to Blizzard Beach. We love to take a break and play mini golf and the Winter side has characters, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto (and maybe Donald) in a Winter & Christmas :santa: theme. It's really cute! You could also play the Summer side for a tropical christmas theme. As we play around we pose the kids at each hole and use the best photo. :thumbsup2

With all of the decorations out, I'm sure you'll find many places to take a holiday photo. During the summer, I took a good Christmas picture at Downtown Disney. There's a display outside the ornament store that is the perfect spot for a Christmas picture at any time of the year.

In 2005, I took my holiday pictures while we were down there. I took a lot of shots around the lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge (since we were staying there). Many Christmas trees to stick him in front of. Worked out well. I also took several shots around Disney Studios. He wasn't highly cooperative though, so I didn't get a lot of great pictures to choose from. It was much easier trying to take the shots at the hotel than at the parks - less bodies in the way and less to distract him. This is the one I used (from the AKL lobby).

We took Christmas pics in front of Epcot last year. We actually used photopass so they took the pic for us and we ordered the cards from photopass.

This was our XMAS card 2 years ago, and the picture was taken Nov 20. At that time, the XMAS tree in MK is over by the rose garden - they move it down to the Main Street plaza after the taping of the XMAS parade in early Dec. I think it's a nice opportunity to get the XMAS tree and the castle in the same pic!

That is the exact shot I was looking for!!! I love the tree and castle together!! Do you think the tree will be in the same place this year?? Same date???

Thanks!!!

outside the xmas shop in the MK there will be a sleigh, if you angle it right you can get a pic of the kids sitting on the sleigh with the castle in the backround :). in the morning there are too many shadows for a good pic so try the afternoon.

i'll post my pics later of this location.

I think they've had the placement of the tree the same for the last few years, so I'd expect it to be the same this year. It's also nice because it's relatively easy to get a pic with no other people in it. Of course, this was before Photopass, so they might have a photographer stationed in this spot now. But that would still work because the Disney photographers will also take a picture with your camera. You just might have to wait for your turn now. :goodvibes
