Hello there!

I am planning my 2nd WDW trip and my dream is to spend Christmas and new year's eve there...my question is....

Is there any special shows or happenings from 12/24-01/01 or you find the same going at mid December?

Thanks for your info!!

Claudia

The only thing unique to that week would be the special activities and fireworks on New Year's Eve.

First of all, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!

So, the fireworks and shows are different on 12/24 and 12/31? I am trying to decide if it is worth to spend all 2009-2010 point to be there on those special dates or I can use only 2009 points on the week prior to christmas and see the same thing...

Dec 31 they are more extravagant not 12/24. NYE has things that you will see only on NYE(including such as at Epcot bands and other outside entertainment well into night/early morning). Otherwise the difference between Christmas week and earlier Dec weeks is mainly longer hours and you don't have Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (the after-hours event that occurs Dec 19 and before). Also, Christmas week you will have overwhelming crowd sizes which you have never experienced, and cannot even imagine how huge it is, unless you have gone that week before.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I think I have made my decision!!

week before christmas will be great and I do not need to use all my points for 2 years!! :thumbsup2

We were there on Sep 5 and it was great!! no crowds at all...lots of rain ...but not lots of ppl!!:rotfl:

I also became a proud owner in AKV!!!!!! :cool1:

Thanks again!!

The time between Christmas and New Years is the busiest time of year at WDW so be prepared. We vacationed over Christmas last year and we won't do it again.

Don't miss the Candelite Processional. There's no explaining it, until it is experienced.
