I have been to Disney multiple times. However, I have never planned a holiday trip. Can I just say that my now Adult Daughter and I are SUPER excited. It's been a while since we have been there. (Minus the crazy 4 day heavily scheduled trip with her Band last year.) Just the 2 of us going. She is so excited to be part of the planning this time! Just wondering if anyone knows when they may release dates for the very merry Christmas party and the Christmas processional. I want to be ready to book my meals at the 180 day mark and my itinerary depends on both of those. Just wondering. Thanks in advance

Have an Amazing visit. Being at disney on Holidays is Extra Special imho.
Enjoy!!!!

Thank you for asking as I am doing the same thing. I have been to the world many times but never during the Christmas season. My planning obsession has now kicked in and I can't wait to make plans for ADR and FP. I am excited to see the world dressed in it's holiday best.

You will love Christmas at Disney! We went the week before Christmas in 2018 and we had the BEST time ever! Can't wait to do it again in a couple of years! Happy planning!

You will have a great time, only advice to give you is to avoid Magic Kingdom on Christmas day.

Actually we did do MK on Christmas Day 2018. Now, we did get up at 4 am, left the hotel at 5 am and was in the park by 6 am. Not exactly my favourite thing to do - I'm not what you call a morning person. But we got great photos and it wasn't too bad until about 11 am when we left. We even managed to get into Crystal Palace for breakfast on a 7 am walkup. Got to watch the stage show at the castle just before we left with a really good vantage point. So, it was worth going and you can have a great time. Just don't expect to stay much past noon. We went to Animal Kingdom after we left MK and it was not bad at all. Not sure I'd do WDW at Christmas all the time (we usually do early December) but it was definitely fun and not nearly as bad as I'd expected.

We were there Christmas 2018 too, but we arrived around 9 Am and the lines were crazy just to get in. So if you do MK again on Christmas Day get there at 6 AM again.

The park opened at 6am. Get there at 5am to avoid the crazy bag check line and lines to get in. Enjoy Mainstreet before the lands open at 6am. :)

You will have a blast. We did our first MVMCP this November and it was great. It was not very crowded, we enjoyed the snacks and the ease of hopping on some rides. We did the party on a Thursday night, it was the second week after the parties had just started. I would definitely avoid the parties the first week and right around Christmas day if possible knowing those would be the most heavy crowds. Have fun, the castle all lit is amazing!

The Candlelight Processional narrators and dining packages are not usually available until after the 180 day window opens up, unfortunately. Last year the packages were available starting end of June / early July. The full roster of narrators wasn't completed until into the Fall. Perhaps Disney will surprise you and announce earlier this year, but I wouldn't count on it...

There will likely be a CP watch thread started soon in the dining forum if you wanted to take a look and join those anxiously waiting! There is already a MVMCP thread started in the TPAS forum for you to see when things have been announced in previous years.

Have a great time! Last year was our very first trip during the Christmas season and it was complete magic. :santa:

We did Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom this past Christmas. It was awesome!! We were in the resort bus at 5am. Still took quite a while to get through bag check. It was one of the best days ever. Super busy but very friendly cast members and guests!!

We went over Christmas in 2017 and over NYE last year. This year we are going for both.

In 2017, Candlelight Processional dining packages came out at the end of June. I didn't follow it last year so I don't know if it was the same.

Crazy busy, but so much fun. Book your ADRs as you do not want to do quick service meals at that time of year.

Disney is so lovely over Christmas. We went to magic kingdom on Christmas morning. We were at the Contemporary, walked over about 5.40am, quiet bag check on the walking path, a fairly large line to get in but not too bad. We left about 7.45am and headed to HS and finished our afternoon at Epcot where we used a 4th fast pass on Soarin.

It was an amazing day.
