So, we had a great trip last Christmas and took our stockings with us and hung them on hooks in our resort room at POFQ. We will be going again this Christmas and I've been slowly collecting items for stockings that have a Disney theme. I thought I would share my list and feel free to add your suggestions and "finds" as well. My boys will be 14 and 17 at the time of the trip - but as you can see - we like to have fun with the gifts. Key is inexpensive, fun Disney"esque" theme, and small (perfect for those traveling and obviously because of the stocking size)

Disney princess washcloths - $1 at Party City
Princess pencils - 2 for $1 Party City
Mickey Deck of cards - Maybe $2 Party City
Star Wars Travel toothbrush set - $1.50 Walmart
Princess body wash - Walmart (think $1)
Minnions and Star Wars fruit snacks - Target (2 boxes for $3 - will divide individual packages between all the stockings and then have snacks for the park)

I don't have much to add except that I think it's awesome that your boys are getting princess stuff. My son (4) has a couple of princess toys (those little plastic Magic Clip dolls).

Target dollar spot seems to always have all kinds of stuff that is Disney themed. Even those little coloring book packs and glow sticks.

Following...

DS (1) and I are going to WDW this Christmas. :)

We rented a villa offsite. I'm undecided on whether or not to get a tree (we'd have to donate it when left). Hmmm, maybe a small Charlie Brown tree and some stockings.

Thanks OP. I didn't consider stockings.

We also did a little Christmas tree and a some lights around the window. We now use these decorations at home.

And here is a picture of our stockings - sorry you can't see the rack real well but it was just a standard wall coat rack which worked fine. This year we picked up some stocking stuffers on-site including a Mickey baseball and a pirate sword.2010stockings.jpg

Omg I love your window display! It looks like a professional store window display.

Sold! I'm going to get creative and decorate our villa for our trip. Thank you for sharing your photos. :)
Not sure what stores are in your area but Walgreens (local chain drugstore like CVS, etc.) has traditionally had some cute Disney Christmas decorations. That is where I purchased the Mickey window light up.

Oh - and you can't tell in the photo but I bought maybe a yard of red mickey fabric from Hobby Lobby and just wrapped around the base of the tree for a tree skirt - nothing fancy and very cheap. To hang the lights we just brought with some window suction cups. Really quite simple and inexpensive.

Thank you! I wanted to ask you where you got the Mickey light up window display and the Mickey tree topper. Wow, Walgreens and CVS?!?! I never would've guessed that. Thanks for sharing. :)

My family keeps throwing around the idea of giving gifts, but we never really act on it.

The idea of giving Disney-centric gifts is great - but how about some gifts that could be used at Disney? Vans just released some Disney-themed backpacks, socks and shoes. I know you're looking to save some cash, so how about a Disney gift card (with even $5 each) Disney candy (Goofy candy co.), etc.

Such cute ideas! We won't be spending Christmas at the world, but will be there in November. Is that too early to decorate your resort room window for Christmas?

I say, why not? Have fun with it! I see Christmas decorations up right after Halloween. :)

Thanks for the ideas! I've been collecting things as well. So far I have found:

*Disney Lanyards at Party City--Minnie, Mickey, Cars, and A&E (only $1)

*Princess Wristlet Purses, Disney notebooks, Disney coloring book, Princess hair accessories, Disney reuseable shopping bags (all $1 each from dollar bins at Target)

*Disney kids hats--Princess, A&E, Marvel ($3 in Target bins)

*Hand wipes in Disney-themed packages (come in a set of 3 for $1 at Dollar Tree)

*Minnie ear headbands and Cinderella bow headbands (super cute and only $5 at Walmart in their party section--Party City also had some cute hats for boys including Mickey ear hat and one for planes about the same price. I have to go back and choose one still. I was actually really impressed with the quality of the headbands and hats for such a low price. They are meant for birthday parties but seem perfect for the parks instead of purchasing the more expensive headgear there.) :goodvibes

Some of these things will go in the Disney reusable shopping bags with Disney T-shirts as a sort of early Christmas & welcome to Disney gift bag since Christmas is towards the end of our trip.

Love those ideas. We also do a "souvenir gift exchange" where each member receives a WDW gift card prior to Christmas and then shops for someone else in the family (when they were younger they were inexpensive items and shopping assistance was provided by either me or DH). This year now that DS 14 and DS 17 are older we will do probably $25 (or more) gift cards and have everyone draw a name out of a hat and be a "Disney Secret Santa."
