Christmas at Bonnet Creek

We're thinking about heading to Orlando for Christmas this year! Have never traveled over the holidays but thought it might be time for a change. We want to stay at Bonnet Creek in a 2BR. We used Vacation Strategies several years ago. I know that most places have the best rates within 2 months of arrival. But is this true for the holidays? Or do you need to book as soon as possible? We're looking for 5-7 nights anytime between 12/20 and 1/2. For that time period, I see that you can't book with Vacation Upgrades until 2 months prior - that seems like a big gamble to me to wait... Redweek does have 2 BRs available for $200-250/night over the holidays, is that a good rate for that time of year? Thanks!
