Hi, we are planning an 8-day visit to WDW and I really am one of those people who believe in not scheduling too tight. I like to have open areas to experience the unexpected not a tightly woven itinerary. That said, we are looking at the following options for our visit:

Day 1 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Day 2

Day 3 Candlelight Processional

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6 Christmas Eve- Luau

Day 7 Christmas- Low Key Dinner at Artist's Point

Day 8 Fly Home in the evening

We also want to see the Osbourne Lights, go to Chip and Dale's Campfire, eat at the Sci Fi, and the Olivia Cafe. Does this seem do-able? Any must sees that we have not mentioned??? I love WDW, but this may be our last trip for many, many years...I don't want to miss any spectaculars! Please advise! Thank you.

What is chip & dale's campfire??

Campfire--is at Fort Wilderness, a free campfire with a movie! Stuff for S'mores is availabe for $$$, lots of fun, but maybe COLD in December??

I wouldn't miss Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, touring Wilderness Lodge (BEAUTIFULLY DECKED OUT FOR CHRISTMAS!), Fantasmic!

Oh, I almost forgot--don't miss the HOOP DEE DOO!!!!!

We will be in WDW from 18 December to the 26th. We are doing the MVMCP, Hoop Dee Doo (enjoyed much more than the Luau, but still had fun there too!), Candlelight, Fantasmic, Tea Party, and Pirate Cruise!!!

That's my next question...has anyone done this in December? How was it?

We were in WDW for Dec 17-24 in 2004 and it was super weather. We are from South East Texas and it was very nice, shorts and a windshirt in the morning and you were good to go. However, on Dec 21, the first day of winter, it was COLD. A major front blew in early that morning and it was very cold until noon. We were at AK and they sold so much cold weather gear, it was flying off the shelves.

We were back from June 9-17, 2005 and it was so hot. That trip made our mind up that we will not go back in the summer and I am a teacher. We are heading back for Thanksgiving and will see how that time of year suits our style. :earboy2:

The lighted bridge in Epcot is amazing... and the gingerbread houses at the Contemporary... I think they have a big one at the GF.
