Christmas all year long!

This was during your September 2010 trip, and this is Zoe, of course, and she (with everybody else obviously) is at Mama Melrose restaurant in DHS, where you had dinner before Fantasmic!

Awesome job, Fred.

1pt 9/2010 trip
1pt Zoe
1pt Mama Melrose

1pt for noting that we ate there before Fantasmic

And you have a lot of cute pictures of Zoe, but I really like her eyes in this one - kind of an almost ideal picture of a little girl.

I am sorry I missed yesterday. A lot has been going on in the last few days

1. Zoe's school called and needed a doctors note for everything (including saline) before she could start school. The level of detail they need is odd. I questioned it and I got a "well, we need to know in case she becomes unconscious" Ok, my thought is if my daughter is unconscious, there are bigger issues than making sure her bladder is empty. :confused3

2. I called back to my speicalists office to ask if I REALLY needed to be seen. The nurse said she would run it by the doc. She looked at the records and told me she didn't see why this would be urgent and thought a repeat visit in 6 months would be sufficient. :woohoo:

3. The silly nurse from the previous day called back to say she showed the test results to the doc and she was completely wrong. :sad2: It is serious enough to not only be seen, but that they moved my appointment to this coming Wednesday. I was told I should expect at least a couple biopsies to be taken:scared:

4. Zoe had her last post op visit. It looks as though she has not quite shaken this infection. And since it is still the pretty nasty virus, she has to still be on isolation protocol while there. So another course of antibiotics and hopefully it will clear it. I mean...after all it has been since she was admitted back at the end of June that she has this.

5. At the end of Zoe's visit the doctor mentioned that he thought he would be seeing us before the next 6 month visit because of the merry go round thing she is doing with the infection. So given that, I asked what he planned. Darn evasive not wanting to give bad news thing they do makes me think there is more here. He looked stunned and just said we would need to reset her gut. That if the course of antibiotics wasn't working we would have to do something different. He would not elaborate. I think he means that she will need to be readmitted to have a course of iv antibiotics. :sad2:

So I did not get a chance yesterday to put up a pic. I didn't do much if any dis yesterday. I have been pretty tired lately. On the plus side, my arm is completely better. My joints are all sore still though...and I wish I could shake this feeling like I have the flu. I am glad I won't need another tetanus/pertussis shot for a long time...I am getting to old for immunizations when my body feels like this afterward.

Hi, Ann. I actually read this the other night, when you had first posted it, but I was so tired, I didn't comment.

So you deserve about a zillion of these: :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Hope you're feeling better and sorry Zoe's school is making things so difficult. And yes, I hate it when doctors sugar coat things and don't tell you the whole deal. No, really, tell me now, it'll make it easier in the long run, really.

Hope you had a great weekend. :goodvibes

I'm glad your arm is feeling better. Hopefully, your achiness will subside soon! When did you decide on your doctor's appt? That was a nosy question, wasn't it?? :flower3: But you need to take care of you, too!

And I'm sorry that Zoe is still fighting that crazy infection. I hope your weekend has been somewhat restful for you all.

Dang Fred, you are good!

I think he read my TR from last September.. either that or he REALLY knows what Mama Melrose looks like inside.

That was awesome! I would have never guessed the "where"!

I wondered if anyone would. I am quite impressed that he was able to guess that.

I would have known the where, but not the other details.

That is impressive cause I think that it was kinda hard to tell where it was. I know if I didn't know the context of the pic I wouldn't have known.

Thanks, Tina. I got to thinking about what route the doc could take and it might not be an inhospital iv therapy. They had wanted to send her home with a pic line. Well... I wonder if that won't be an option instead of admitting her. I am not sure which I prefer. One would mean her missing school and the other would mean more red tape with the school. .:confused3:confused3

Thank you, Amy. I am feeling better. Still tired like I can't believe. I wonder if being anemic is finally catching up with me. As for my appointment... isn't nosy to ask. I am only sharing with you guys.(only Kira and a close friend know beyond you all) Steve doesn't even know I have the appointment. I go in on Wednesday. I am trying to not let it worry me. (the procedure..the outcome doesn't worry me much if any) Thursday will be the start of a busy time for me with work. I will be up and down on the floor, on my feet..etc. I just hope that they don't have to take too many biopsies since I worry it will leave me less anxious to be on my feet all week at work.

Just day to day stuff

Tomorrow Zoe starts school. Alex does too, but his books have yet to arrive so he won't be able to do a lot and his classes just were assigned today so they may not even be available for tomorrow.

I completely bailed on a movie this sat. Steve was sick again and didn't feel up to anything..not even dinner so having Kira and Josh over wasn't an option.

Alex, Zoe and I went berry picking yesterday. It was actually pretty hot and so we didn't stay out long. Normally we try and pick a ton of berries and then sometimes they go back before I can make use of them. This time we only picked enough for me to make a pie. It was a very yummy pie. First pie of the season. Blackberry... mmmmm. Alex has ate about half the pie himself. I think we may need to pick more berries. Hmm... maybe we will do that tomorrow for his PE time while Zoe is at school. She wasn't a big fan of all the thorns so it might be easier to take a hike and pick berries without her.

and finally...if you got this far....

the game pic for the day...

Yummy...blackberry pie! I think I could go for that PE class! I used some fresh peaches from my sister's trees in a cobbler this weekend...nothing better than fresh fruit that you picked yourself. I have got to get working on my choke cherry juice and make jelly. I am proud that I boild the juice off the night we got home...now it sits in the freezer...

12/11/2011 - Sunday

This will be another day we will not be using a park ticket for. It will be day three of our vacation and we will not be planning on hitting the parks. Well, not in the normal sense of going at least. This is the day we will be going to MVMCP.

After waking up, we will munch on dry good items I will have brought from home. If weather permits, this will be a good time to send everyone down for one more swim in the pool.

images

While they enjoy the pool, I will take care of getting us packed up. I will need to pack what we need for the day into one bag and the rest of our stuff up to be shipped on to our next resort.

After their quick swim and my packing are done, we will say good bye to Pop. From there we will head to DTD.

images

Honestly, I hope to make it in enough time to see Santa. If I understand it correctly, he is there at noon each day.

downtown_santa1.jpg

If not, though we have more pressing issues. First of which is to eat. We have never ate at EOS, so this is on our agenda.

images

Kira and Josh at there in May and said we HAVE to go there.

Next is a very special appointment. Zoe has an appointment at BBB. I plan to get her dress in advance instead of the day of. She has requested Rapunzel. Just a couple months ago she didn’t like how scratchy the sleeves were. However, now she seems to like it so I guess I will have to hunt down a dress like this.

images

I really like the “deluxe” version that disney store sells... but not for the cost.

140.jpg

I have a red deluxe princess dress that I thought would be perfect for this day, but given that it has a hoop under the skirt, I am thinking it will not work so well. This is that dress.

images

As Zoe is getting her make over, the guys (weather permitting) will try and ride this.

images

I would not want to go up in this so it will be a great opportunity for the guys to experience something new.

Once the girls and the guys are done with their special activities, we will meet back up and head to our next destination.

images

Hopefully, we will get there around 4pm and check in. We have a courtyard view room reserved. I am not sure if I will put in a room request or not. I still have to do a bit of research on it. I don’t want to be too far from the lobby. I would like to be near a sitting area like this.

images

After we get checked in we will head to MK for the party.

images

It will be our first time not only seeing the castle this trip, but the first time ever seeing it like this.

images

We will be eating a simple dinner that night. Another first, we will eat at this restaurant;

images

I just hope that we will be able to get seats since it is a counter service location during a busy time of year AND during a party.

After we eat, we will just enjoy the party. Aside from seeing the castle lighting ceremony, I am looking forward to the snow on main street and the parade.

Once we have done all we can do and seen all that we can see, we will head back to WL. Hopefully, our bags will have arrived and we will be able to drift off to sleep having had a very very full day.

And with that, we are now down to 13 Sundays before the trip.

I know...just something about picking your own fruit. I have to be careful though and not pick too much..or we end up with too many things being made from the fruit..or the fruit going to waste.

Day three looks like so much fun. The party sounds like it is going to be so magical. And Zoe will look adorable after her BBB make-over, no doubt. I think WL is going to be a perfect resort to be at for Christmas, actually. :thumbsup2

I love the MVMCP pictures! It just makes me want to be there already... :goodvibes

Positive thoughts for you on Wednesday! I'm glad you are going and can get some answers for the anemia, fatigue, etc. You need to be up and running for the busy trip you have coming up in 95 days! :yay:

Ann...did you check out costumexpress.com? They have a tangled dress very similar to the deluxe one you are looking at. I am not sure of what Disney prices are but 44.99 that includes a cameo, petticoat and tiara for $44.99 and I have a coupon code for $5 off of $25 or more....$10 off of $50 if you want...

Ann - having had a daughter who, in spite of what she leads you to believe, was once a little girl, and I know that she would have loved any of your choices. I do like that red deluxe - sort of like the seasonal finery that I'm told the characters, including the princesses, wear at WDW at Christmas (we'll all know the answer to that one after this year). Zoe will be beautiful in whichever one.

We will also be going to MVMCP, but ours is the 18th, which is our arrival day (up at 4 am to get 7 am flight - yuk). This was the only date that worked for us to start our vacation, and it is the last date for MVMCP, so we will make the best of it. Hope to visit some resorts to check out decorations during the day, maybe get a nap in (get kids to nap at WDW - nah, and I am just a bigger, grayer, kid).

I would think that Alex and Steve should really enjoy the Characters In Flight - and maybe you would too! It is a helium balloon, and tethered, so it is some difference, but I used to fly hot air balloons, and it is incredible to be up in the air like that (granted, I was usually a lot higher - in the air, that is). And the remarkable part of this is that I have a real problem with heights otherwise - I get sicky feeling in the shots going over buildings on TV, and don't even get me close to a window in a building over 4 stories high. But balloons have never bothered me. I don't understand it.

And berries - sounds great, and so much fun. Too bad that we live so far away - Lynn would go berry-picking with you in a heartbeat!

It is exciting hearing your plans for the day you are moving to WL - it brings the time and excitement a little closer. Will be anxious to hear how you liked WL when you do your TR - I have seen so many beautiful pictures that friends have taken when they stayed there, and they have loved it, but I've never been there myself (but I will visit there to check out the decorations and to eat this trip).

maybe you can wave to me as we leave? we will be at MK that day, but not attending the party. we will head over to 1900 park fare to please my daughter with a dinner with her Prince Charming princess:
