Steve is back from seeing Zach graduate. He and his father met down there. I have yet to see many pics from family day or graduation. I thought I would share a pic I snagged from Steve's fb. This is a pic of Steve's dad and Zach. I am so glad that Zach had dad and grandpa there. I guess not everyone had family show up.

Not much of a story behind this pic. 1st trip. 4/2008. Alex was 12 and Zoe was 3. Staying off property we had so much to learn. Rafiki's planet watch seemed so isolated.

Thanks. I think Zach gets some of his height from his grandpa. Once Steve sends me the pic of he and Zach I will share that. It was funny. Steve sent it to me via txt saying "I think I shrunk" Steve is tall (6ft.) but his dad and Zach are both over 6ft.

I talked to Zach this morning. He is now at Ft. Lee. He is a bit frustrated since he is in reception right now. He doesn't move to his permanent location across base until monday. He is with all the new kids just arriving for basic. He will survive... but their undisciplined behavior has already made it so that he has lost out on dinning time. Just 16 weeks to go...

After Steve's recent flight, I only need 1300 miles to get he and Alex both a reward ticket. Now... do I pay the $75 to get 2k in miles and book now or wait till probably our July statement (which is at the end of July) We have been not spending as much, but typically we earn about 7 to 1k a month. So I am sure that by the end of July we would have earned the 1400 needed. The thing is... flights kinda suck with it now. Originally, I have been watching the flight that arrives 11:45pm mco on 12/10 and then departs mco on 12/22 at 7:30am. The flight on the 10th is still available... but the one on the 22nd is not. I would have to have them fly back on 12/21 at night and while that isn't the end of the world, I would have to change my ADR that night. The other option would be to extend to the 24th... and honestly I am thinking that is worse. Between the increase in cost and to be honest... the extra days I am not sure I like that plan. If I wait... my hope would be not only to not spend the $75 unnecessarily... but also that perhaps a better flight option for return would become available.

I will be so happy when I get my plans squared away. On the other dilemma... I think I am just going to keep things as they sit. I think the only way the kids could afford to come is if fd is offered. So I will revisit all of this if and when that happens.
