Again, trip of 9/10. It was our last night and I was lucky enough to get an ADR for Le Cellier. Our ADR was pretty close to closing. We enjoyed another dinner with my mom celebrating her birthday. For whatever reason (I can't seem to remember) the server was unable to get the "happy birthday" on my mom's plate so instead had it put onto Kira's. As this was our last dinner, we really didn't mind.
Kira was brave enough to get the semifredo. It was interesting. Kira being a young 20... was not very accustom to that taste. She decided that while she didn't hate it, it would probably appeal more to someone who was older and who like wine.
semifreddo
[say-mee-FRAYD-doh, Sp. , say-mee-FREE-oh]
Italian for "half cold," semifreddo culinarily refers to any of various chilled or partially frozen desserts including cake, ice cream, fruit and custard or whipped cream. Such a dessert's Spanish counterpart is called semifrío .
It looks like it is no longer on the menu at Le Cellier. Oh well... better stuff to replace it. Basically, it had white wine in it. I didn't have much of it. I wonder if anyone else can recall what it was???
This was a good idea... course, what you might think to be an obstacle is of course one... AIRFARE!!! OMG? I would have to fly separate from Steve and the flight would cost roughly $800. So... with the fact that Zoe is not on a very aggressive treatment for her lungs... and the cost of airfare, I still will not make his graduation.
Nope, We were not in that part of the park when the rain hit.. LOL... I had to pull up a map to see where that was exactly we were in relation to it.... I guess I am not as familiar with this park as I thought I was. I do know what we were near... I think that section throws me because of the junction that I never use.
