Christmas 2011 booking etiquette

I am looking to book the dates of Dec 26-29, 2011 at our home resort of BWV in a standard view 2BR. My question is should I book Dec 24 or 25-29 and then cancel the dates at the front of the reservation to make sure it is available? I was concerned that if I waited to book on the 26th, all the standard view rooms may be gone.

This is not against the rules so if you have the points without borrowing and want to have the best chance of securing your reservation, go for it.
