I'm in post Christmas funk but excited about our first Christmas trip to WDW. I know how all decorate the sites but what about inside...our home away from home? What do you do or are planning to do to make your Fort home away from home Christmas like?
We have a tree for the RV...a slender Charlie Brownish tree that doesn't take up much room. I don't want to take all our home decorations/stockings/ornaments with us but still want to make it special.
Keeping weight in mind.
I'm looking for small, light weight ornaments. I'm not crafty but the Mickey Paint Chip examples make cute ornaments. I've never been one for "foam" craft but found foam craft Christmas ornament kits on sale. They're light weight. I didn't scrapbook all our WDW nametags from our 97 trip, so one became an ornament. I saw a small car at a hobby store that really looks like the train on Thunder Mountain. I found lighted garland that can drape around the slide and hold stockings, so looking at new stockings to surprize the family. Ebay has many Christmas items on sale as do many stores.
Our satellite dish has Mickey on it. It will be a Christmas Mickey for next year and our Mickey lamp post will be either a Santa Mickey or Mickey Snowman.
Bear with me...I am so excited about our trip and plan to plan all year long. I'm looking at everything with a "How can that work into a WDW Christmas ornament, decoration.
Thanks for understanding pre-trip mania.
