I wish you were right. Professionalism, just like Style, Class, and Dressing up to go to a nice dinner, are dead in this world. And you can see them impact of that everywhere. Like I said, I wish you were right, but those days are gone.

I think you need to look back to the comment I quoted you. You said you were offended people were calling for her to be canned. If you believe professionalism should exist that would stand to reason you agree with me in my explanation why others are calling for her to be let go

Odd that you would add style, class and dressing up to go to a nice dinner, weird insult there especially given her comments. See I read that from you and think that you would say she should have class to not say that but instead you're offended that people want her let go. It's very mixed signals you're giving off.

Let me re-phrase to clarify. Only about 1% of people suffer from medical conditions that cause obesity that they have absolutely no control over.

Nope. I still disagree. Of the short list I gave, Prader Willi is rare but the others far more common than you think. Any of them of far more than 1%.

Also, being in control all the time and to fight an overwhelming tide of food contamination and paltry, readily available food choices is beyond a difficult demand.

Sometimes diabetes cannot be controlled. You should look at the numbers of young and middle aged people who are on dialysis, have undergone amputations or lost their vision. Do you suppose any one of them never tried to control it? The liver and kidneys undergo varying degrees of degradation while these people try desperately to control the treachery of their bodies.

If she said that to a specific patron at Disney, she should have probably been in trouble. She did not.

Agreed. Addressing someone’s waistline and specifically belittling them is completely different than making a general comment regarding smaller portion sizes probably being good for some waistlines.

I find it interesting, after this thread, that she is in consideration for the CEO position, and especially after reading that she was one of the most prominent people who went to the board about Chapek. I hadn’t really heard of her before that earnings call, so I wonder if she has the well rounded experience needed for the role. my thoughts go back to the DIS Unplugged show a couple weeks ago where they debated the merits of having a team made up of a good numbers person and a good creative person (like Walt and Roy, or Eisner and Wells), instead of trying to find one person with both skill sets. It will be interesting to see who gets the role in the end.
