You know I just realized that I never posted my engagement story..
here it is...

Is when Geancarlo went to my parents to ask for my hand in marriage. I was not home I was in night class, my sister was working, so my parents were home alone. My dad opens the door and sees Geancarlo standing there, he says 'CHristina is still in school.'
Geancarlo says " I know I just need to speak with you and Carmen (my mom)"
Well when he said that a light went off in my fathers head knowing it was THE TALK....
So he sits with my mom and dad and explains to them how much he loved me and wants to be with me for the rest of his life, from what heard my mom was crying... He showed them my ring and said that he wants them to be there when he proposes.. Of course they were going to go...
He leaves and I get home about 2 hours later, well I pull my car into the garage and my mom has the HUGE
smile on her face, Im thinking in the car 'what is her deal' lol
I get in and tell her and my dad that I am driving to Naples with my best friend tomorrow before going to work. At that time my best friend and I worked at a school with kids so we didnt have to be at work until2pm the latest... Well mom tells me to be extremely careful..

At this time my best friend and I werent engaged yet, she wanted to show me where she wanted to get married so we made an early day trip. We leave at around 7am went to Starbcks and then made it to Naples by 8:15am. We looked at this hotel she wanted to get married at we pretended that she was engaged... Well by 12:30pm we had lunch then did a little shopping...we walked into this jewelry store and I saw a 5carat diamond rind
I was like "OH WOW" it was tacky, I called Geancarlo and I tell him "Hey I tried on a 5 carat diamond ring" poor thing he was home working on the enagement for that night..
Oh before I continue we were dating for 7 years and not once has he ever wanted to go into a jewelry store with me to look at rings,
Im like great this guy never wants to marry... BOY WAS I WRONG...
So we get to work and I call DFTW to get information, mind you I have NO idea that I was getting engaged that night
I get home at 6pm after a pretty busy schedule. My sister and her BF were out to dinner, my mom says her and my dad are going out to dinner (LIE)
Geancarlo wanted to go out to dinner, I said "Oh Geancarlo I am tired I drove all day" he said "No please I am on the mood for Sushi"
So he picks me up Im all ready to go....
We went to eat Sushi, then he says" I will be right back I have to use the bathroom" I was sitting at the sushi bar thinking how strange he never goes to the bathroom... He was calling his brother telling that we were on our way to his house...
So we leave and we are in the car and he says lets go rent a movie and take it back home, Im thinking ok sounds like a great idea,,,, Well I started telling him when are planning to get married... We have been together for 7 years, he is out of school, whats taking so long... He is biting his lips thinking this girl is in for the ride of her life'
Well we pull up to his house (we still live at home with our parents and siblings to help us save for the future house)
So we walk in and I see a lamp on and no one was home, WAIT A MINUTE the driveway has all the cars.. So I say "Geancarlo where is everyone" he says "I dont know..just follow me..." well before I go upstairs I took my shoes off and I am just looking to the right of me into their laundry room.. Well Geancarlo thought someone was hiding in there... NOPE just me being nosy... So I follow him upstairs to his parents bedroom and out onto the balcony that over looks the lake... He gives me a light stick and tells me to crack it and throw it after he throws his... When I cracked it and threw it all my costume jewelry bracelets fall over the balcony and I look over the balcony and say "AWWW Geancarlo I lost my bracelets" he says "LOOK"
And what do I see a lighted sign on the lake that says "MARRY ME"
I thought he was joking until he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee.. I stated to cry and hug him... he then screams "SHE SAID YES"
Well under the balcony was his and my family... My parents and sister were crying.... and across the lake was his brother and friends with sign screaming with JOY... We go downstairs and my sister hugs me and she is BAWLING....
She was upset b/c Geancarlo told her BF and not her that he was going to propose, I called my family with the good news....
