HARD TO GET - Rich Mullins

You who live in heaven
Hear the prayers of those of us who live on earth
Who are afraid of being left by those we love
And who get hardened by the hurt

Do you remember when You lived down here where we all scrape
To find the faith to ask for daily bread
Did You forget about us after You had flown away
Well I memorized every word You said

Still I'm so scared, I'm holding my breath
While You're up there just playing hard to get

You who live in radiance
Hear the prayers of those of us who live in skin
We have a love that's not as patient as Yours was
Still we do love now and then

Did You ever know loneliness
Did You ever know need
Do You remember just how long a night can get?
When You were barely holding on
And Your friends fall asleep
And don't see the blood that's running in Your sweat

Will those who mourn be left uncomforted
While You're up there just playing hard to get?

And I know you bore our sorrows
And I know you feel our pain
And I know it would not hurt any less
Even if it could be explained

And I know that I am only lashing out
At the One who loves me most
And after I figured this, somehow
All I really need to know

Is if You who live in eternity
Hear the prayers of those of us who live in time
We can't see what's ahead
And we can not get free of what we've left behind
I'm reeling from these voices that keep screaming in my ears
All the words of shame and doubt, blame and regret

I can't see how You're leading me unless You've led me here
Where I'm lost enough to let myself be led
And so You've been here all along I guess
It's just Your ways and You are just plain hard to get

Great songs, Jeanne!

Saphire, I'm glad everything is alright and that portion of scripture you posted is one that I have always liked as well. :)

Edie, it's nice to see you! I'm sorry that things are still so difficult for you. It's hard to go through so much and I know that feeling of wondering where God is all too well. He always send something to let us know He's right there with us. I really like the words of the song you posted, I've never heard it before. You remain in my prayers.

Hi flaps! :wave2:

Just having one of "those" days that pile up on me every once in awhile. So, I'm pulling out all of my Praise music and I'm going to surround myself with God's love.

YOU ARE STILL GOD

Scott Krippayne – YOU ARE STILL GOD
From the album – IT GOES LIKE THIS
Label – Spring Hill (2003)

I’ve prayed but still don’t have answers
At least none I’m able to see
I’ve tried to rest in not knowing
But not knowing’s a hard place to be
But as I return to Your pages
The words breathe new life to my soul
I see You at work through the ages
And know that You’re still in control

chorus:
You are still God
You have created the land and the sea
May we applaud
And sing to the wonder of Your majesty
The wind will still blow
We won’t always know
Why seasons of life are so hard
But You are still God

Help me have faith in the knowledge
That You’re greater than what we go through
And when I reside in the valleys
Help me keep trusting in You
The how and the when You are moving
Were not meant for me to decide
Again and again You are proving
You’re there at just the right time

chorus

Have a good weekend, everyone!

Edie

I Still Believe
by Jeremy Camp, from the album, "Stay"

Scattered words and empty thoughts
Seem to pour from my heart
I've never felt so torn before
Seems i dont know where to start
But its now i feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I dont see
I still believe

Though the questions still fog up my mind
With promises i still seem to bear
Even when answers slowly unwind
It's my heart I see you prepare
But its now that I feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

The only place I can go is into your arms
Where I throw to you my feeble prayers in brokeness
I can see that this is your will for me
Help me to know you are near

Hi Everyone!

Thanks again for all of your prayers and hugs, they really worked and I am feeling a lot better today! :sunny:

Hi Saphire! I am glad to hear that everything is alright with your health.

Hi Edie! It's so good to see you! And I am so sorry that you are going through a rough time right now, I hope things will get better for you real soon. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi flaps!

Well I guess I should go now, I have to go and help my dad set up for our Train open House that we are having today! Now I bet you all are wondering what I am talking about( although princess: Sis knows what I am talking about, she has seen pictures). I will tell you all about it later on today.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :wave2:

Saphire, it's good to see you. I'm so glad that things are good with your health! And I love that scripture in Habakkuk!!

Jeanne, God of Wonders and Trading my Sorrows are both such excellent songs.

Edie, I'm so sorry. Please know that you are not alone and that you are loved!

Hi Flaps! Rich Mullins has some great music!

Sarah, I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope you have a great day with your dad.

Hey Boochelley! :teeth:

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to tell you more about the Train open house that I was talking about in my other post. My dad has a train layout in our backyard and it also goes through our house into the basement. He built this all by hand and did it all by him self as well. My mom and I help with some things, like my mom likes to do the gardening work and I have my own Disney Toon Town train that I like to show and run. We belong to a train club and everyone that is in this club loves trains and most of them have there very own layout in there backyards as well. During the summer time is when everyone has there open houses were you can go to different houses and see there train layouts. This is something that my dad loves to do very much.

I wish I could post some pictures on here so you could all see what I am talking about.

Sarah, that sounds like fun. If you want to email me the pics, I will see what I can do about posting them for you.

Hope you are all doing well tonight. You have all been on my mind and I was praying for each of you, and your situations lately. Just wanted you to know.
GOD BLESS YOU! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks Jeanne! I just sent an email, but it might take a little bit for the pictures to get there. And thanks in advance for posting my pictures for me. You are really going to become a pro at post pictures now. :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. You all are in my prayers.

'God Is All Around'

Consider the kindness of a stranger
That passes by your way
For there are ties that bind us
Together, forever

Touching the broken-hearted friend
Brings healing to the soul within
There's evidence everywhere
Of His love, sweet love

Chorus
God is all around us
Even when we feel we're all alone
I can hear Him whispering my name
Telling me that I'm His own
God is all around us
Even when we feel all hope is gone

God is all around
God is all around

They're so many lessons yet to learn
And I don't know where the road will turn
He always finds a way
To guide me, remind me

That if I should fall into the night
He will be there, a shining light
For all the world to see
With open arms for you and me

Repeat Chorus

God is all around ( He'll hear your prayers)
If you just reach out ( He's everywhere)
God is everywhere

God is all around us
When you feel all alone
Can't you hear Him whispering your name
Telling you that you're His own
For God is all around
God is all around

Sarah, that sounds so cool! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures. :)

Jeanne, thank you so much for praying.

Hey Sarah, that sounds so fun! My fave Grandfather was a big train "buff" (the real ones). His family used to be in charge of a railroad station in "downeast" Maine....he was actually born in the station! His family worked for the railroads for a good part of his life. Model trains are so neat! What scale does your dad do? I would love to have a garden train someday...yeah right!

Hey Fur and Tasha!

Tasha, the scale of my dads trains is "G" scale. And it sounds like your Grandfather and my dad would get along great! My dad was married once before and when he lived with his other wife & kids they had a train in there backyard that you could actually ride on. It's to bad our backyard is not big enough to have an actually train that you could ride on, that would be so much fun! But we do love to sit outside and watch the trains and the water falls that we have going. I wish you all could come to my house one time so you could all see the train in our backyard, I think you all would enjoy it. I think later today Jeanne is going to try and post some of the pictures I emailed her so you all can see them. Thanks again Jeanne! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful day and "Happy Fathers Day" to all of the dads!

Here In My Heart/ Plus One

Wherever you are tonight
I'll see you in my dreams
Wherever I go tomorrow
You'll be here next to me
And though we are a world apart
I know you'll never be that far

Chorus

'Cause here in my heart
There's a picture of us
Together forever
Unfaded and unbroken
Wherever you are
Your love covers me
Forever more you'll be
Here in my heart
Whenever I miss you so much
It's more than I can bear
I won't cry, I'll just close my eyes
And know you'll be there
Your kiss and your touch
I'll never forget
'Cause you're as close
As my very next breath

Repeat Chorus

Here are some of the train pictures that Sarah sent me to post:

Jeanne, Thank you so much for posting my train pictures for me.

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By Your side
I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When Your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

{Chorus}:
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for You Jesus or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in Your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

Oh lead me
To the place where I can find you
Oh lead me
To the place where you'll be

Lead me to the cross
Where we first met
Draw me to my knees
So we can talk
Let me feel your breath
Let me know you're here with me
