LOL Jill!! ;)

Live for You: Rachel Lampa

You have spoken in the sunset

You have whispered words of comfort in the wind

You know everything about me

Before my life began, you held me in Your hand

You have walked these roads before me

You have known the pain a broken heart can bear

Won't You help me now to trust You

Every single day, follow in Your way

I live for You, I live for You

When I think of all Your love has done for me

I live for You, never looking back to what life used to be

I live for You and everything I ever thought was mine

I'd give it all away to have You in my life

See You in the crystal waters

And I have felt you in the dark of my despair

You have shown a love unfailing

A river running deep that's swelling up in me

repeat chorus

I know it's gonna take a sacrifice

I want to see the world through Your eyes

I'll live for You the rest of my life

*yawn* okay, I'm back, I had a little nap (no thunderstorm though :( ). Jilly, I don't know what it is, thunderstorms make me sleepy and I sleep sooooooo good when it is raining hard. The sound just makes me drift off into dream land. :) I don't sleep well because of the fibromyalgia so I take all the help I can get! :o

S.M. the lyrics to that song are really great!

Hey CS! Good to see you! :wave2:

Beauty for Ashes/Crystal Lewis

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

When sorrow seems to surround you
When suffering hangs hangs heavy o'er your head
Know that tomorrow brings wholeness and healing
God knows your need, just believe what He said

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

When what you've done keeps you from moving on
When fear wants to make itself at home in your heart
Know that forgiveness brings wholeness and healing
God knows your need just believe what He said

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

I once was lost but God has found me
Though I was bound I've been set free
I've been made righteous in His sight
A display of His splendor all can see

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

Thanks, the verse JC2 posted earlier got it stuck in my head. :)

Come just as you are
Hear the Spirit call
Come just as you are
Come and see
Come receive
Come and live forever

Come just as you are
Hear the Spirit call
Come just as you are
Come and see
Come receive...

Life everlasting
Strength for today
Taste the living water
And never thirst again

Come just as you are
Hear the Spirit call
Come just as you are
Come receive
Christ my King
Come and live forever

Anyone else need to be reminded of this?:

Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39
I know I do!

/
My Jesus
I love You
Three simple words
I can't put it better
This song is
My offering
I lay it at Your feet
Surrendered to You
You are my desire
You're my everything
You are great
You are good
And Your love endures forever
Let Your praises fill the heavens Lord
That all the world may know
You are great
And in this place
Your presence falls
Who can stand before the King of Kings

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Good morning, friends! I don't always get the chance to sing with you, but know that I've read every post and been uplifted with your words and your spirit!

Christmas was hard, but not as tough as in past years, maybe we're starting to grow from all of the pain of this separation/divorce from my husband. Our sons did spend time with their Dad, but also were here a lot. I had some wonderful talks with DS#1 about our church and reaching out and he has given me the encouragement to start a small group Bible study in my home following Kay Arthur's, "Lord, Heal My Hurts". Maybe out of all the agony of the last two years, I will be able to uplift and carry someone else down this road.

I also got to hear DS#1 do the sermon at church on his mission trip to India and how, "Are we more American than Christian?" Very moving -- and as his Dad was sitting there he even spoke about cheating, on your taxes, on your wife. At least someone from that church had the conviction to confront my ex!

So, even with a horrendous sinus infection, I'm still singing this morning!! (Just praise God that you can't hear the croaking!)

YOU ARE STILL GOD

Scott Krippayne – YOU ARE STILL GOD

I’ve prayed but still don’t have answers
At least none I’m able to see
I’ve tried to rest in not knowing
But not knowing’s a hard place to be
But as I return to Your pages
The words breathe new life to my soul
I see You at work through the ages
And know that You’re still in control

chorus:
You are still God
You have created the land and the sea
May we applaud
And sing to the wonder of Your majesty
The wind will still blow
We won’t always know
Why seasons of life are so hard
But You are still God

Help me have faith in the knowledge
That You’re greater than what we go through
And when I reside in the valleys
Help me keep trusting in You
The how and the when You are moving
Were not meant for me to decide
Again and again You are proving
You’re there at just the right time

chorus
You are still God
You have created the land and the sea
May we applaud
And sing to the wonder of Your majesty
The wind will still blow
We won’t always know
Why seasons of life are so hard
But You are still God

Christ's Love to All of You!!

Edie

PS - Thanks again to all of you for your prayers and PMs during the Christmas season. You really helped me to get through with a happy heart!

Good morning Edie! I've been thinking about you. So glad to see you this morning! :)
That Bible study sounds great!

How can they live without Jesus?
How can they live without God's love?
How can they feel so at home down here,
When there's so much more up above?
Throwing away the things that matter,
They hold onto things that don't.
The world has gone crazy, but soon maybe,
A lot more are going to know.

For maybe they don't understand it,
Or maybe they just haven't heard.
Or maybe we're not doing all we can,
Living up to His Holy Word.
Cause phonies have come and wrongs been done,
Even killing in Jesus' name.
And if you've been burnt, here's what I've learned,
The Lord's not the one to blame.

For He's not just religion with steeples and bells,
Or a sales man who will sell you the things you just want to hear.
But His love was such, that he suffered so much,
To call some of us just to follow, follow.

So many laughing at Jesus,
While the funniest thing that He's done,
Is love this whole stubborn rebellious world,
While their hate for Him just goes on.
And love just like that will bring him back,
For the few He can call His friends.
The ones He's found true who've made it through,
Enduring until the end.

The one's He's found true, who've made it through,
Enduring until the end…

Fur, those are some great songs you are singing this morning! ::yes::

EDIE! So good to see you! I'm glad that the holidays were not too bad for you. It's always wonderful to have you join us. I think about you and pray for you often. Your Bible study sounds like a wonderful one. ::yes::

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lord, You are good and Your mercy endureth forever
Lord, You are good and Your mercy endureth forever
People from every nation and tongue
From generation to generation

We worship You
Hallelujah, hallelujah
We worship You
Hallelujah, hallelujah
We worship You
For who You are
You are good

You are good
All the time
And all the time
You are good

You are good
All the time
And all the time
You are good

These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the Word of the Lord
And these are the days of Your
Servant Moses
Righteousness being restored
And though these are days of
Great trials
Of famine and darkness and sword
Still we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord

Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
Lift your voice it's the Year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

These are the days of Ezekiel
The dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of
Your servant David
Rebuilding a temple of praise
And these are the days of the harvest
The fields are as white in Your world
And we are the laborers in Your vineyard
Declaring the Word of the the Lord

Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
Lift your voice it's the Year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

There's no god like Jehovah
There's no god like Jehovah
There's no god like Jehovah
There's no god like Jehovah
There's no god like Jehovah
There's no god like Jehovah

Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call
Lift your voice it's the Year of Jubilee
Out of Zion's hill salvation comes

Good morning Michelle! :) I sure do love that song! One of my favorites!

Oooohhh! Days of Elijah!! Wooohooooo Love that one too! :teeth:

I was just watching a Praise & Worship service on television (since I'm in no shape to make it to church this morning!) and they sang, "Lord You Are Good!"

Now, I've been doubly blessed!

Edie

Morning Fur and Edie! :sunny:

That's too cool Edie! I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well either :(

I was imagining I was at church and thinking about what they might sing this morning and those are two of our favorite upbeat ones.

Here is one that I adore, it's a mid tempo, sang in three parts, seperate at first and then all at the same time and all three parts are timed so that they sing "He is wonderful" together. It sounds so beautiful.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Great is He
Who's the King of kings
And the Lord of Lords
He is wonderful

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah
He is wonderful

Hallelujah!
Salvation and glory
Honor and power
He is wondeful

He is wonderful
He is wonderful
He is wonderful!

I know he rescued my soul
His blood has covered my sin
I believe
I believe

My shame He's taken away
My pain is healed in His name
I believe
I believe

I'll raise a banner
'Cause my Lord has conquered the grave

My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives

You Lift my burdens
I'll rise with You
I'm dancing on this mountain top to see Your kingdom come

My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives
My Redeemer Lives
