Magnificent Obsession/Steven Curtis Chapman

Lord, You know how much
I wanna know so much
In the way of answers
And explanation
I have cried and prayed,
And still I seem to stay
In the middle of life's complications
All this pursuing
Leaves me feelin' like
I'm chasin' down the wind
But now it's brought me back to You
And I can see again

This is everything I want,
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one
Consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You,
Jesus,
Be my magnificent obsession
Yeah-yeah, yeah, yeah

So capture my heart again,
Take me to depths I've never been
Into the riches of Your grace and Your mercy
Return me to the cross,
And let me be completely lost
In the wonder of the love
That You've shown me
Cut through these chains that tie me down
To so many lesser things,
Let all my dreams fall to the ground
Until this one remains

This is everything I want,
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one
Consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You,
Jesus,
Be my magnificent obsession
My magnificent obsession
Yeah-yeah, yeah, yeah

You are everything I want
And You are everything I need
Lord, You are all my heart desires,
You are everything to me

You are everything I want,
You are everything I need
I want You to be my one
Consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You,
I want it all to be for You
'Cause You are everything I want,
You are everything I need
I want You to be my one
Consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You,
Jesus,
Be my magnificent obsession
Be my magnificent obsession
Yeah-yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh-oh, oh, oh

BTW, I have been in detention... Actually the whole family has been dealing with illness over the last week. Not fun, but getting better. Hopefully I can come and play when my Mommy says I'm all better. :bounce: ;)

Praying for you all! :)

Hey Jill! :) I have missed you, sis! I love the songs you sang. One Pure and Holy Passion is one of my favorite worship songs! Do you guys sing that at church?
I hope your family is feeling better! I'm praying for God's awesome touch to be on each member of your family and that He will heal you all!

Glorified
Praised through all the ages

Salesmen: And as associates of the Stuff-Mart

Basic Instructions-Burlap to Cashmere

Basic Instructions before leaving earth . . .
For God so much loved the world,
That He gave His one and only Son.
That whoever believeth in Him Shall not die but live on.
(bridge) Living on . . . Through the Son
Peace almighty Living on,
Let your heart go
To the one.
Yes the road is narrow.
Yes the road is tough.
But whoever remaineth in Him
Shall not die, but lift up.
(bridge)
Basic Instructions before leaving earth.

Hey there CS! :)
Basic Instructions is a cool tune! I like that :)

Song of the Cebu-Veggietales

Narrator: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Larry the Cucumber presents, in a sequential image, stereophonic, multimedia event, the "Song of the Cebú!"
Larry: cebú! This is a song about a boy ... a song about a little boy and his cebús ... a song about a little boy and his three cebús ... the little boy who had a sick cebú, a sad cebú and a mute cebú. And also a hippo.

Um ... um ... this is a picture of me at the airport. This is my Aunt Ruth. This is me at a bullfight. This is me fighting the bull.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Ohh!

Larry: This is me and the bull.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Ahh!

Larry: This is me and the bull and ... I think that's the bull's cousin. He's a cebú!

Archibald: Hold it! You call this a multimedia event? This is a slide projector and a bed sheet! And what on Earth is a cebú, anyway?

Larry: It's kind of like a cow. See?

Archibald: Yes. Well, very good. This could be interesting. Carry on!

Larry: Cebú! Sing it with me! Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: Boy is riding with cebú

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Boy is riding with cebú

Larry: Into town in his canoe

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Into town in his canoe

Larry: Sick cebú is rowing and sneezing. Achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo moo moo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo moo moo

Larry: Hippo chewing on bamboo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Hippo chewing on bamboo

Larry: Can't see boy and three cebús

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Can't see boy and three cebús

Larry: Sad cebú is rowing and crying. Boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo moo moo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo moo moo

Larry: Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

All: Achoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, cebú!

Larry: Hippo seen by mute cebú

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Hippo seen by mute cebú

Larry: Tries to tell the other two

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Tries to tell the other two

Larry: Mute cebú is waving and grunting. Mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm mmm mmm

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm mmm mmm

Larry: Uh-oh.

Archibald: Wait! What happens next?

Larry: Um ...

Archibald: Does the hippo see them? Is the poor mute cebú successful in communicating the imminent danger to the other passengers? Is the boy injured? Why is the sad cebú sad? Is the canoe wood or aluminum?

Larry: Oh, look! There's me and Bob at Sea World! Oh, wow. Forgot about that one. There's me and that bull again.

Archibald: You can't just start a song and leave it hanging like that! You know, I've come to expect a lot more from you. This is quite disappointing! I'm going to have to speak to Bob about this.

Larry: Oh look, a cebú! Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: No, wait ... that's a water buffalo.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: No more song about cebú! Need another verse or two! Audience is standing and leaving, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo moo moo moo

Jimmy: I want my money back!

Jerry: Yeah, that'd be ... that'd be good.

Moses-The W's

Every once and a while I start to contemplate how a person like me could be used by the great God. Then I look at those who lived before me, in their imperfections they showed God's glory. Moses and the burning bush everybody knows that he was always doubting what God could do. Gidion could never understand how God could use, an itty bitty man like me.

(chorus) How can God ever use me? I'm just a nobody. He sees everything about me. What can he see in me?

Peter said at one time I will not fall away even if the consequence of death is what I pay. Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times saying I do not know this man he is no friend of mine. Paul stood by as Stephen died and showed no remorse. Beat down till he was dead. Paul, what a wretched man I am.

(chorus)

Wonderfully uplifting.

Hold me Jesus
Rich Mullins

Well, sometimes my life just don’t make sense at all
When the mountains look so big
And my faith just seems so small

Chorus:
So hold me Jesus, ‘cause I’m shaking like a leaf
You have been King of my glory
Won’t You be my Prince of Peace

And I wake up in the night and feel the dark
It’s so hot inside my soul
I swear there must be blisters on my heart

[Repeat Chorus]

Surrender don’t come natural to me
I’d rather fight You for something I don’t really want
Than to take what You give that I need
And I’ve beat my head against so many walls
Now I’m falling down, I’m falling on my knees

And this Salvation Army band is playing this hymn
And Your grace rings out so deep
It makes my resistance seem so thin

I’m singing hold me Jesus, ‘cause I’m shaking like a leaf
You have been King of my glory
Won’t You be my Prince of Peace

You have been King of my glory
Won’t You be my Prince of Peace

The Hairbrush Song:Veggietales

Narrator: "Our curtain opens as Larry, having just finished his morning bath, is searching for his hairbrush. Having no success, Larry cries out ..."
Larry: "Oh, where is my hairbrush? Oh where is my hairbrush? Oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where oh, where ... is my hairbrush?"

Narrator: "Having heard his cry, Pa Grape enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Pa regains his composure and reports ..."

Pa: "I think I saw a hairbrush back there!"

Larry: "Back there is my hairbrush. Back there is my hairbrush. Back there, back there, oh, where, back there, oh, where, oh, where, back there, back there, back there ... is my hairbrush?"

Narrator: "Having heard his joyous proclamation, Junior Asparagus enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Junior regains his composure and comments ..."

Junior: "Why do you need a hairbrush? You don't have any hair!"

Narrator: "Larry is taken aback. The thought had never occured to him. No hair? What would this mean? What will become of him? What will become of his hairbrush? Larry wonders ..."

Larry: "No hair for my hairbrush. No hair for my hairbrush. No hair, no hair, no where, no hair, no hair, no hair, no where back there, no hair ... for my hairbrush."

Narrator: "Having heard his wonderings, Bob the Tomato enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Bob regains his composure and confesses ..."

Bob: "Larry, that old hairbrush of yours ... Well, you never use it, you don't really need it. So, well, I'm sorry ... I didn't know. But I gave it to the Peach - 'cause he's got hair!"

Narrator: "Feeling a deep sense of loss, Larry stumbles back and laments ..."

Larry: "Not fair! Oh, my hairbrush. Not fair! My poor hairbrush. Not fair, not fair, no hair, not fair, no where, no hair, not fair, not fair, not fair! My little hairbrush!"

Narrator: "Having heard his lament, the Peach enters the scene. Himself in a towel, both Larry and the Peach are shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of each other. But recognizing Larry's generosity, the Peach is thankful ..."

Peach: "Thanks for the hairbrush."

Narrator: "Yes, good has been done here. The Peach exits the scene. Larry smiles, but, still feeling an emotional attachment for the hairbrush, calls out ..."

Larry: "Take care of my hairbrush. Take care, oh my hairbrush. Take care, take care, don't dare not care. Take care. Nice hair. No fair. Take care, take care ... of my hairbrush."

Narrator: "The end!"

Big Fish-FFH

Do de dum da digga dum dum da dum
Do de dum da digga dwee ah
Do de dum da digga dum dum da dum
Do de dum da digga dum da um

(Chorus)

Are you in the big fish
Are you sitting in the belly of a world gone mad
Have you turned your back in His wish
On His will for your life, have you made Him sad
Do you want to get out of the big fish
Listen to God and follow His plan
And you won't be part of the main dish
He'll spit you out on to dry land

Scat

You're one brick short of a load now brother
You're one shot away from a bullseye
You are missing the mark on your spiritual walk
You started walking away now you're sinking -
Into the deep, wake up from the sleep
See your one fry short of a happy meal
You are incomplete by your own deceit
You turned your back, now you're going swimming

Scat

(Repeat Chorus)

Scat

You're sinking low how low can you go
So low that you don't know which way to go
To the truth or to the dare?
If you take the dare then you'll be swallowed there
But run to the truth and you will find
That a rescue arrives right in time
To pick you up back on your feet
Obedience is neat

Veggietales theme

Bob: If you like to talk to tomatoes
If a squash can make you smile
If you like to waltz with potatoes
Up and down the produce aisle...
Have we got a show for you!
All: VeggieTales, VeggieTales, VeggieTales, VeggieTales,
VeggieTales, VeggieTales, VeggieTales, VeggieTales!

Bob: Broccoli! Celery! Gotta be
All: VeggieTales!

Junior: Lima beans! Collard greens! Peachy keen!
All: VeggieTales!

Larry: Cauliflower! Sweet and sour! Half and hour!
All: VeggieTales!

All: There's never-ever-ever-ever-ever been a show like VeggieTales!
There's never-ever-ever-ever-ever been a show like VeggieTales!
It's time for VeggieTales!

CITY OF REFUGE/4HIM

In the land of the free
So many are living in chains
All around us is fear
We push and we pull
In our longings for love
Here in the home of the brave
But in the real world right now
You're weary you're weak from the fight
Hope is calling out loud
Your freedom is waiting
Run into the light
Leaving the darkness behind

The city of refuge is open tonight
Come inside, come on inside
A fortress of healing
Where the weary can hide
Come inside, come on inside
Calling the hurting, the broken and bruised
Jesus is waiting for you,
In the city of refuge

Come and rest in this place
'Cause right here is where you belong
it's a shelter of grace
Welcome one, welcome all

The city of refuge is open tonight
Come inside, come on inside
A fortress of healing
Where the weary can hide
Come inside, come on inside
Calling the hurting, the broken and bruised
Jesus is waiting for you,
In the city of refuge

Before another moment passes you by come on in,
Why are you standing outside?

The city of refuge is open tonight
Come inside, come on inside
A fortress of healing
Where the weary can hide
Come inside, come on inside
Calling the hurting, the broken and bruised
Jesus is waiting for you,
In the city of refuge

"Calling Down An Angel"-Plus One

You're afraid, it's all come down
To this place where dreams have fallen to the fround
Just look up, you'll make it through
'Cause there's a heavenly being
That's watching over you

[Chorus:]
Calling down an angel who will
help you believe
Sending out a prayer, I'm down on my knees
Reaching up to heaven knowing you will someday see
There's hope beyond the struggle
Just hold on
I'm calling down an angel

It's not too late, it's almost over
If you'll just wait you'll feel it lifting off your shoulders
So keep believing, the sun always
promises a new day
It'll stop the rain, break the chains
And chase the pain away

[Repeat Chorus]

You've been trying to be so strong
You've been waiting for so long
Will your miracle ever come
Heaven's holding every single tear you cry
And if you start to feel alone just know that I am

[Repeat Chorus]

His Cheeseburger-Veggietales

Mr. Lunt: He said to her I'd like a cheeseburger
And I might like a milkshake as well
She said to him, "I can't give you either"
And he said, "Isn't this Burger Bell?"
She said, "Yes it is, but we're closed now,
But we open tomorrow at ten."
He said, "I am extremely hungry,
But I guess I can wait until then."

Cuz you're his cheeseburger
His yummy cheeseburger
He'll wait for you. Ya!
He'll wait for you.
Oh, you are his cheeseburger
His tasty cheeseburger
He'll wait for you
Oh, he will wait for you.

He stayed at the drive-thru till sunrise
He may have dozed off once or twice
When he spotted a billboard for Denny's
Bacon and eggs for half price!

How could he resist such an offer?
He really needed something to munch
Cheeseburger, please do not get angry
He'll eat and be back here for lunch!

Cuz you're his cheeseburger
His precious cheeseburger
Be back for you.
He'll be back for you.
Won't be so long, cheeseburger
Oh, lovely cheeseburger
Be back for you
Oh, he'll be back for you.

Cuz he loves you cheeseburger with all his heart
And there's nothin' gonna tear you two apart
And if the world suddenly ran out of cheese,
He would get down on his hands and knees
To see if someone accidently dropped some cheese in the dirt
And he would wash it off for you
Wipe it off for you
Clean that dirty cheese off just for you!

You are his cheese ... burrrr ... grrrrr!

What Matters Most

Filling this verse with superlative words
Making the most clever rhyme
Wouldn't amount to much
Just wouldn't count for much
If you can't read between lines
But I have discovered
I've finally uncovered
A most significant thing
It's a noble theme

What matters most is how much we love
What matters most is how much we give
What would it matter if we just lived
Without loving our God
Without loving each other
Faith, hope and love
Especially love
That's what matters most

Once just a girl
In a curious world
Learning the meaning of life
Tell me what is the reason
And why do the seasons keep
Turning the pages of time
I had to discover the things from above
For the days turn so quickly to years
Then they disappear

Not money, not power, not fame or position
Don't want it, don't need it
Don't give me religion
All I wanna hear, All I wanna see
All I wann read about is
All I wanna live, all I wanna know
All I wanna be about is love

What matters most is how much we love
What matters most is how much we give
What would it matter if we just lived
Without loving our God
Without loving each other
What matters most is how much we love
Setting our sights on the needs of our brother
Loving our neighbor as we love ourselves
We give to the Lord
When we give to each other
Faith, hope, and love
Especially love
Faith, hope, and love
Especially love
That's what matters most
What matters most

--Cheri Keaggy

CS I LOVE His Cheeseburger!!!!!! :bounce:

 Hi Dan! So good to see you! That is a great Cheri Keaggy song...here's one from her uncle...

THE TRUE BELIEVERS/Phil Keaggy

Just don't know where, where to begin
When earthly kings surrender to this world of sin.
To walk the walk, talk the talk, truth is
Heaven on earth is one stairway
That can't be bought.
The price is paid, we believe that our God reigns,

The true believers stand on every word You say,
The true believers made alive in Christ today,
This is how we survive and where we mean to stay.
The true believers[/]i

You've had enough, all you can take
When your river of tears
Runs into an ocean of heartbreak.
He'll be your moon when your sun goes down,
Fire for you if ice is all that's on your ground.
When your music has died,
And silence is the sound,

The true believers stand on every word You say,
The true believers made alive in Christ today,
This is how we survive and where we mean to stay.
The true believers

So if you need to call on a friend,
He's there for you right until the very end,
His love is alive forever and amen.

The true believers stand on every word You say,
The true believers made alive in Christ today,
This is how we survive and where we mean to stay.
The true believers

Alive/P.O.D.

Everyday is a new day
I’m thankful for every breath I take
I won’t take it for granted
So I learn from my mistakes
It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go
Whatever happens in this lifetime
So I trust in love
You have given me peace of mind

I feel so alive for the very first time
I can’t deny you
I feel so alive
I feel so alive for the very first time
And I think I can fly

Sunshine upon my face
A new song for me to sing
Tell the world how I feel inside
Even though it might cost me everything
Now that I know this, so beyond, I can’t hold this
I can never turn my back away
Now that I’ve seen you
I can never look away

I feel so alive for the very first time
I can’t deny you
I feel so alive
I feel so alive for the very first time
And I think I can fly

Now that I know you (I could never turn my back away)
Now that I see you (I could never look away)
Now that I know you (I could never turn my back away)
Now that I see you (I believe no matter what they say)

I feel so alive for the very first time
I can’t deny you
I feel so alive
I feel so alive for the very first time
And I think I can fly

"Camouflage"-Plus One

Camouflage
What is this force around me
Just like a tractor beam that
Is always pulling me down...and when
Ever I get the chance to
Spill my guts about you
It tries to tape up my mouth

What good am I
If I just keep you quiet
What good am I
if I don't speak, 'cause...

[Chorus]
I don't wanna be camouflage
What I'm not
'Cause what I got invades the world
I don't wanna be in a box
All I want
Is just to stop being
Camouflage

I'm sick of trying to blend
Thinking that I should fit in
Like I am somebody else...Why do
I go against what I say
I come across like a fake
And keep you all to myself

It's not that I
Wanna shove it on somebody
It's just that I
That I can't hide

[Repeat Chorus]

I can't hide

[Repeat Chorus]
