Great songs everyone!

Jeanne, I especially like yours! :)

Welcome Home/Shaun Groves

Take me, make me
All You want me to be
That's all I'm asking, all I'm asking

Welcome to this heart of mine
I've buried under prideful vines
Grown to hide the mess I've made
Inside of me
Come decorate, Lord

Open up the creaking door
And walk upon the dusty floor
Scrape away the guilty stains
Until no sin or shame remain

Spread Your love upon the walls
And occupy the empty halls
Until the man I am has faded
No more doors are barricaded

Come inside this heart of mine
It's not my own
Make it home
Come and take this heart and make it
All Your own
Welcome home

Take a seat, pull up a chair
Forgive me for the disrepair
And the souvenirs from floor to ceiling
Gathered on my search for meaning

Every closet's filled with clutter
Messes yet to be discovered
I'm overwhelmed, I understand
I can't make this place all that You can

Come inside this heart of mine
It's not my own
Make it home
Come and take this heart and make it
All Your own
Welcome home

I took the space that You placed in me
Redecorated in shades of greed
And I made sure every door stayed locked
Every window blocked, and still You knocked

Take me, make me
All You want me to be
That's all I'm asking, all I'm asking

Welcome Home is one of my new favorites, Michelle! :)

In the presence of a Holy God
I bow down and I adore
You reveal the secrets of my heart
And I'm shaken to the core

And I cry Holy Holy Holy God
How awesome is Your name
Holy Holy Holy God
How majestic is Your reign
And I am changed
In the presence of a Holy God

In the presence of a Holy God
There's new meaning now to grace
You took all my sins upon Yourself
And I can only stand amazed

And I cry Holy Holy Holy God
How awesome is Your name
Holy Holy Holy God
How majestic is Your reign
And I am changed
In the presence of a Holy God

Hey there Dan! :) It is always good to see you! ::yes::

FUR! I love that song you sang! We used to sing it at my church but we haven't in a loooooong time. I missed it. Thanks so much! :)

Hey Dan! :wave2:

Hi everyone!

When someone asks you how you are today...say..."BLESSED!"

"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God, the One and Only, who is at the Father's side has made Him known." John 1:16-18

"How great is the love the Father lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" 1 John 3:1

Hi all..I just found this thread and am so happy I did! I haven't had the chance to read through all the postsso I son't know if this one has been posted but it is one of my favorites.

You Are My Refuge

I have found a place I can call my own
Here in Your embrace
Where Your mercy overflows
It's here that all my doubts and fears
Just melt away
I lay my burdens down
and I look upon Your face

You are my refuge
You are my sanctuary
When I feel afraid
You're my hiding place
Yo are my refuge
And when the storm is raging
Underneath Your wings
I rejoice and sing
You are my refuge

He who dwells in the secret place
of the Most High God
Shall abide underneath the shadow
the shadow of Your wings

Denise

" The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27

WOW! Another Pennsylvanian finds our thread! Welcome Denise! I'm a Philly suburban-ruralite myself...originally from NE Philly.

I love the song you posted...and as to whether or not it was already posted...we repeat songs occasionally based on how the Spirit leads! I know I haven't seen that one recently and it is a great one. Thanks for posting and come back and visit whenever you have a chance!

BTW, I wanted to let you all know that I am attending the Women of Faith Conference in Philadelphia tomorrow and Saturday. Please pray for the thousands of women attending. I am especially hopeful for someone that I know to be touched in a special way this weekend and I'm asking that the Holy Spirit would convict and guide this person to a point where she might more fully hand her life over to Jesus so she may know the fulness of God's Joy in her life.

Along with that request I would also ask prayer for my niece, Jess, as we meet tonight to talk. She is almost 19...I really covet prayers for her and for openness in our relationship as we work through some issues together. Thanks!

I took the Nemo quiz and I came up as Gill! Too cute. Everyone should give it a try...I'd be interested in seeing how others rate on this most impotant "scale"! Silly Pun...get it? "scale...fish" I just KNOW you're all ROTFL
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great weekend ya'll! :teeth:

Hi Denise! Welcome! I love the song you sang and as Jill said we often sing songs over again so no worries! :)

Jilly, I will be praying for your conference and for Jess.

I'm leaving for wdw tomorrow afternoon for the weekend so prayers for safe travel are appreciated!

Love you guys!

Your favorite princess:

Hey Denise! I am sooo glad you found the thread! And what a great song you posted! Like the others said, just "sing" whatever is on your heart. It doesn't matter if someone else just sang it 10 minutes ago! Nice to "meet" you! I hope you'll post more often.

Jill! I'm Gill too! ;)

Have a good time Michelle! :)

Please keep my brother Larry in your prayers. He was in a bad car accident today, but God is truly wonderful, and my brother is alive. He has a few broken bones, and some other things, but no permanent damage. I am so grateful to God for watching out for him. Thanks.

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

Hi Denise! You will find this a great place, to come Worship our Lord and fellowship with believers!

Jeanne, Larry will be in my prayers.

Jill, Fur, would one of you lovely ladies care to post a link to the Nemo quiz? :p

I'm off to work for 4 hours and then I'm out of here. One last song before I leave.

Everywhere I go/Amy Grant

I was wasting time
Oh so sure to find somebody
Who’ll never go
How could I know
None I’d found was true
None could be but You
The only one love divine
My heart, my mind are Yours

Everywhere I go
I see Your face through the crowd
Everywhere I go
I hear Your voice clear and loud
Everywhere I go
You are the light that I seek
Everywhere I go
You have found me

Where could my heart go
Where You wouldn’t know to find me?
Far, far from here
Still you are near to me

Everywhere I go
I see Your face through the crowd
Everywhere I go
I hear Your voice clear and loud
Everywhere I go
You are the light that I seek
Everywhere I go
You have found me

I have seen You in the evening
In the morining light You hold me
Closer than the air around me
You surround me always...

Everywhere I go
I see Your face through the crowd
Everywhere I go
I hear Your voice clear and loud
Everywhere I go
You are the light that I seek
Everywhere I go
You have found me

Ummmm, guys... thanks for telling blind as a bat me that the Nemo quiz ya'll have been taking is in Denise's signature. ;) :p

I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know if this is a good thing or not but at least Clown Fish are cute. puckerup:

I will pray for your brother. Was he invloved with that serious accident on the NE extension of the PA turnpike? I am glad that he is OK. It is truly a miracle that more people weren't killed in that 14-car pile up and firey blaze. The turnpike is still closed this AM.

"Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light upon my path"

Hey everyone! Another Pennsylvanian checking in! I live in Lower Bucks County!

Yes that was an awful accident!

Ottos Doll, I'll be praying for your dear brother!

Jilly, your friend and your relationship with your niece is on my heart and in my prayers!

Have a great time at WDW Michelle. I'm starting to really miss that place. Especially since I probably won't get back there for several years. :(

Men of faith rise up and sing
Of the great and glorious King
You are strong when you feel weak,
In your brokeness complete.

Shout to the north and the south
Sing to the east and west
Jesus is Savior to all,
Lord of Heaven and earth!

Rise up women of the truth
Stand and sing to broken hearts
Who can know the healing power
Of our awesome King of love!

Shout to the north and the south
Sing to the east and west
Jesus is Savior to all,
Lord of Heaven and earth!

Rise up Church with broken wings
Fill this place with songs again
Of our God who reigns on high
By his grace again we'll fly.

We've been through fire, we've been through rain,
We've been refined by the power of His name.
We've fallen deeper in love with You.
You've burned the truth on our lips!

Shout to the north and the south
Sing to the east and west
Jesus is Savior to all,
Lord of Heaven and earth!

Michelle :p

Jeanne, I pray that your brother will recover quickly! I am so thankful that he wasn't hurt worse than he was!

CRB, good to see you! :) Love that song.
