Larry: "Well, I've never plucked a rooster and I'm not too good at ping-pong, and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall, and I've never kissed a chipmunk and I've never gotten head lice, and I've never been to Boston in the fall!"

Pa: "Huh? What are you talking about? What's a rooster and mashed potatoes have to do with being a pirate??"

Mr. Lunt: "Hey, that's right! We're supposed to sing about pirate-y things!"

Larry: "Oh ..."

Pa: "And who ever kissed a chipmunk? That's just nonsense! Why even bring it up? Am I right? What do you think?"

Mr. Lunt: "I think you look like Cap'n Crunch!"

Pa: "Huh? No I don't!"

Mr. Lunt: "Do too."

Pa: "Do not!"

Mr. Lunt: "You're making me hungry."

Pa: "That's it, you're walkin' the plank!"

Mr. Lunt: "Says who?"

Pa: "Says the captain, that's who!"

Mr. Lunt: "Oh, yeah? Aye aye, Cap'n Crunch!"

Larry: "And I've never licked a spark plug and I've never sniffed a stink bug, and I've never painted daisies on a big red rubber ball, and I've never bathed in yogurt and I don't look good in leggings ..."

Pa: "You just don't get it!"

All: "And we've never been to Boston in the fall!"

Pa: "Pass the chips! Who's got the remote control?"

Larry: "Here is is!"

Mr. Lunt: "Time for Geraldo!"

Pa: "It's definitely time for Wapner."

Mr. Lunt: "Oh, I don't like this show ..."

Jilly, glad Michael was feeling better and could make it to his program! Tell Dan he can come cook here anytime. DH only cooks hot dogs, boxed mac and cheese and maybe grilled cheese sandwiches.....those kinds of things.

Just a quick report on DD....she got a 98 on her Bible final(for a quarterly grade of 90....YES!!!!) and a 86 on her Eng. final. Today is History and Science. I am proud of how she (finally) got down to business and put in the effort and it is paying off. Awards night is tonight and last day of school is tomorrow

Hey all! My DS#1 is sick now...hopefully they'll all get it done with now before DISNEY!

I'm doing better and a lot more calm about the weekend since I'm mostly ready for it...I think
Never-the-less, God has been speaking to me and I have been trying to listen...His still small voice has been a great comfort and I can say that being molded into His likeness is worth the pain of the process.

A prayer for myself and for all...
I do so LOVE you Jesus! Heavenly Father you are with me and Your love fills me to overflowing with unspeakable joy...even in the midst of confusion and strife. I trust you. Forgive my unbelief. Holy Spirit fill me and use me today, guiding my steps and speaking Your truth going ahead of me always. Your Word in Isaiah 30:18 promises that You long to be gracious to me and that you rise up to show me compassion. You are the Lord God of justice! When I wait on you I will be blessed. Still struggling with the separation/divorce issues, but after 21 years of marriage and really meaning the "till death us do part" when I said it, I think it's just going to take time and God filling the gaping hole in my heart.

I also went back to my old church today for DS's graduation Sunday. It just didn't feel right -- "there's something wrong here, I don't belong here". Plus soon-to-be-ex read the grad's bios, so that was hard to take. Ugh! Stick Mr. Adulterer up there like he's Mr. Good Christian!

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good weekend!
