Chose outward journey seats!

Somehow managed to forget to do this until an hour after seats were released, can't believe I got distracted! Anyway, managed four upper deck economy seats, one aisle seat and the three on the opposite side, row 78. Not entirely what I was aiming for but hoping upper deck will be quieter and off quicker. We will see I expect.... Virgin 747-400 from Manchester.

How do you know what time seats we'll be released? We are 97 days out. So I presume I can book ours next Saturday, do you know what time? Would you recommend we try get 2 economy seats on the upper deck? I thought I read that they often move you if you pick seats up there? Thanks for any advice

The website says 90 days so theoretically site should open at the same time your flight would leave. Today it was not open 2 hours before but then I got distracted making a bloody meat loaf so can't be sure when it did open. If we get moved so be it. In the big scheme of things I won't be that bothered. Have always had awful seats before so used to that!!!! I would risk trying for the upper deck it's got to be more peaceful.

Thank you! It's not something I've put much thought into, not sure if I mind where we sit or not. We're used to flying with Ryan Air and rushing to just get seats together!

When we arrived the gatwick flight came in about 10 mins after we were in the immigration queue. We waited abt 40 mins so if ur off pretty quick u should be all done soon. We sat in 79abc on return. Great seats.
