Choosing a resort

Hi,
I'm planning for an upcoming trip in August. Family of 4. In the past we've stayed at and LOVED the Contemporary. We loved everything about the resort - layout, monorail, proximity to MK, dining. This trip I'm not sure I can swing it financially. So we need to think about a runner-up resort.
We are considering the Poly, Beach Club and Coronado Springs. We have never stayed at any of them. I'd like opinions about which resort to choose. Ease of transportation is a consideration, as we will be using Disney transportation to get around. We tend to spend a lot of time at MK, but we aren't sure how our other days will play out - we haven't been to Toy Story land and might want to spend more time in Pandora.
I like the price point of the Coronado but it's so spread out, and I'm not sure how the construction will play in to things. I'm also not sure about the dining options - we have some picky eaters in our party and adventurous is not the word for their palate. :) The theme of the Poly really appeals to me, but it's not saving me much over being at the Contemporary. Beach Club feels like it's between the two- not quite as expensive but also not as convenient.
Advice please!! Thank you!!!

We are considering a POLY/Contemporary split stay in August. I’d recommend the Poly if you can swing it.

But if you are considering a moderate, I’d choose POFQ over the other moderates.

We’ve stayed at CSR in August, and for us, the resort was just too big. It was a chore to go to the foodcourt, or the pool, especially in the August heat. Bus waits were okay, but it’s always a time suck when you travel around the resort picking up people. If you’d like to save even more money, pick Pop. I love the bus service there.

If you want to stay in the MK area I would like to suggest WL. In the past it was not as expensive as the other deluxe and we love the theming with the geyser. WCC is one of our favorite breakfasts. There is a boat to CR and FW and also to the MK. The bus system was fine to DHS and AK when we stayed there 5 years ago. For moderates we love POFQ and POR. There is a boat to DS. The buses to the parks were fine. Have not stayed at BC but enjoyed YC a few years ago. We liked being able to walk or take the boat to 2 parks. The buses to AK and MK were fine. YC and BC share but YC is the first stop. The boat dock is also closer to YC.

I would choose the BC. It is a bit less expensive than the CR, but is still a deluxe resort. It has a bus to the MK, but you can walk to Epcot and walk or boat to DHS. You mentioned spending time in Pandora in AK and TSL in DHS, so the BC would be convenient to both of these. If you have picky eaters, you will have lots of dining options at the BC with the other Epcot resorts' restaurants and World Showcase right next door.

If you decide to budget for CSR but you are worried about the size of the resort, try to book preferred. Preferred rooms are all conveniently located in Casitas 1, 2 or 3 at CSR. I'm not sure about the state of the construction, but it shouldn't be a big problem by August - i believe that it is supposed to be finished by this summer?

whichever you choose, have a great trip!
