Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone can help? During my planning session last week I was told that we can't have a chocolate fountain at Sago Cay but I've been reading on here about other brides being allowed to have one. Can anyone give me any further information? Thanks in advance for your help! :thumbsup2

I would also love to know if you able to have it in outside locations. I'd love to have the fountain. Sounds like fun!! :goodvibes

I would assume it's an option, as my consultant used it for my pricing estimate and I told her that is something I absolutely do not want. I don't think she would have used a selection that's unavailable at that location (Sago Cay).

Man I'm confused. When I requested DP menus a few weeks ago I was sent the ones for Epcot and was told that we just had to pick stuff from these menus as the GF don't have set menus. :confused3 I wish we could all get the same answers.

We had out PS last week and were told Disney could not do the chocolate fountains any more for sanitary reasons (kids licking the utensils and putting them back in the fountain -- or something like that). They are switching to these machines that dispense shots of chocolate or a set up where you ladle the chocolate onto the food. I think they are changing the name to chocolate fondue instead of a chocolate fountain.

HTH!

My planner sent me the link along with menus for our Napa Room reception.

She said the menus do change sometimes so the one I posted the link to isn't set in stone but the good news is that the link still works and nothing on the menu has changed.

We used the A Kiss Goodnight menu. It was pricey per person, but the desserts were very elegant and extremely delicious.

Maybe you can email your planner and include the link to the GF dessert party menus? :confused3

As far as I know chocolate fountains have never been allowed at outside venues for sanitary purposes (insects etc.). We wanted one at our dessert party but were not permitted, she did say we were allowed indoors at the reception. It would have been too much dessert at our reception since we had Cinderella slipper dessert plus cake so we passed on it.
