Hi, Does anyone have one? Walmart flyer this week has an electric one for $18.88. Comes with 7 molds, 12 recipes. I am having a stamping party next week, then another craft open house the following week.
What is good for dipping in the chocolate?
Can you use normal chocolate chips, hey, I buy mint ones too.

The one with molds is for making candy. I don't have the chocolate fountain or the chocolate maker with the molds, and I don't think that you need them. I find that a double boiler beats all of my fondue pots for chocolate (and cheese, btw) .. if I am making the chocolate fondue for guests I serve right out of the double boiler or sometimes transfer to another dish set above a sterno or even tea light.. (they make one for chocolate that's ~$5-10) I've also seen chocolate warmed in those little pint size crockpots. In the end you want something that is simple to clean, that you can put in the dishwasher, and that you can make good use of. The chocolate fountains are only good for chocolate... If you want to make chocolate candy (the one with the molds, lolipops etc.) you can melt the chocolate in the microwave or the double boiler and then put it in a squeeze bottle to fill the molds.. you can find the bottles, molds and chocolate (it's a special kind) at the craft store.
