Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place, it is food related though!

Can anyone tell me where you can buy chocolate covered strawberries on Disney property? I think I saw them in a shop on main street in MK, is there anywhere else? Can you order them at the hotel (we will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter)?

hhhmmm......i was thinking the bakery on main street. i'm not sure if you could order them for the hotel, but it might be worth a try. i wonder if goofy's candy store in DTD have them......not sure. good luck!:yay: i looked at the menus on deb's site and the strawberries are listed at ghiradelli's at DTD as a seasonal item.

I've gotten chocolate covered strawberries from the Confectionary on Main Street, a candy shop at DHS, and also Goofy's at DTD. I think you can only get them delivered to your room at the deluxe resorts, but I could be wrong about that. Good luck with your search!

just got back this AM. stopped by goofy's candy co. before leaving yesterday and got some HUGE delicious chocolate covered strawberries. if your on the DDP they are 1 snack credit each.

We got them at the bakery at DHS (I THINK we used a snack credit...can't remember for sure though).

YUM!!! thanks for the heads up! the candy store at the studios.....would that be the villians one??:yay:

Yes, the candy shop at the studios is the villains one.

They are also at the Candy Cauldron candy shop in the West Side Shops of Downtown Disney. And in the Gherardelli candy shop in Downtown Disney. We found them once at a booth in EPCOT, maybe Italy? but those weren't very good, as they had very little chocolate on them.

I love chocolate-covered strawberries, and am picky about one thing - I don't like them chilled, as the chocolate gets too hard and loses it's really chocolately taste. Goofy's candy shop had them chilled when I got them there once, and I didn't care for that. And the EPCOT booth with the microscopic-thin layer of chocolate also had them chilled, so those were the worse. All the other places are equally good, at least for me, in my quest for non-chilled chocolate.

each strawberry is one credit? (wow)

They are expensive. When I tried to order them for an add on to a cake, the women told me they were $5 each. :scared1:

You can also order them ahead of time with champagne. I had them sent to the room. I think it was 40 or 50$ for a 1/2 dozen (called tuxedos) and a bottle of champagne and for like 5 or 10 $ you could keep the glasses. I ordered it months before, but I bet a day or so would probably do it. I stayed at the BWV when I got them, but I am sure they all could get them. The had a tag that they were made at the bakery at TS and TD.

I also got them in France before, a pack of 6 and a dipping sauce. 2 things.. 1 they were not very good, and 2 they were not on the dining plan and they were expensive. I think 12 or 15$.

Thanks so much for all the responses, it looks like I definitely won't have a problem finding some strawberries :cool1:
