Has anyone seen these worn? Our colors are turquoise and chocolate brown and we thought about having the guys wear brown tuxes. My fiance has red hair, so the brown looks really good on him....but he's concerned that we'll look back in 5 years and regret wearing brown instead of black.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I love the idea! If I could go back, I would have had the guys wear brown. I don't think it will matter looking back, because it's not like brown is an extreme color like wearing powder blue.

ITA with Kendra. I've seen pictures and I think they look spiffy with the right color combinations and with yours - I think it will look spiffy! And in the end - we'll all be out of style in a few years anyway! (What a depressing thought!) :rotfl:

We actually are doing chocolate brown tuxes....I believe they are called chocolate parisian with chocolate shoes.....the vests and tie are a blush pink and I love them!

here is a sample pic taken from savvi website=

Three of my male friends were in a wedding over Memorial weekend and they wore these. I have mixed feelings about the ensemble. By themselves (the tuxe) it looked fine. BUT, with the bridal gown, the bridesmaids dresses, and the black tuxes' it was a sight. :sad2::scared::confused:

I think the bride had too much going on color wise. If she had stuck with just the brown and the green bridesmaids dresses it would have been okay. I must say I did not like the brown against the white, white dress. If the bridal gown had been more of an off - white or ivory. I don't know.

Good luck with your decision. At the end of the day you have to be happy.:goodvibes

I think the chocolate brown is a good idea. Colors are fine in 5, 10, or 50 years as long as you stay with dark ones. My friend did dark blue/navy tuxes a lot of years ago now, back when YOU ONLY WORE BLACK TUXES. They looked great, and still do. She did that because her husband and some of the groomsmen would be wearing their Air Force mess dress, which is blue. The bridesmaids were in dark blue as well. Don't go for powder blue :scared: but I think the chocolate will look great.

I think that this is an awesome idea...my concept "shades of blue with a touch of brown" it will look wonderful...it just has to have the right mix and concept...for example my dress is a pale blue with light chocolate brown organza mix thingy, but I love it!!!

btw I cant wait to see your pictures...waiting patiently!!!

My DFIance is wearing a "destination"tuxedo. It is tan and he is wearing cinnamon colored tie and vest. (I have a cinnamon colored sash on my dress)
